I purchased a car from Windham auto sales in July of last year. I have got to say they went above and beyond my expectations. Jim did an amazing job getting me financed with a local credit union; I was able to get extremely competitive rate vs my previous auto loan with Chase. Jim also made the car buying experience as easy as possible. Where I don’t live in NH I was a little skeptical about buying a car out of state, however Jim maintained constant contact with me during the whole sales process and truly put my mind at ease. A lot of the reviews you will read about Windham seem to be coming from scorned perspectives. Spoiler alert if you are buying a 14 year old car from anyone you are going to run in to problems eventually. And maybe some of the salesmen are rude or disinterested. However my experience working with Jim and buying a late model car could not have been any better.
I want to start by saying thank you to Steve and Jim, both were very professional and helped me out tremendously.I was able to purchase a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, much more vehicle than I thought I could afford. I recommend visiting to form your own opinion, as I did; most of the reviews below are the polar opposite of what I experienced dealing with Windham Auto Sales. Purchasing a used vehicle comes with inherent risks of systems failing, if you don’t want that to happen, buy new. With that said, Jim was extremely understanding when I brought the vehicle to my mechanic and found a few problems did exist. He offered to fix them prior to me purchasing the vehicle. Further, after a week and a half, my vehicle was experiencing starting issues. I thought the starter was on the way out and brought it back to be covered under warranty. The service department was able to find a loose wire leading to the starter which was causing the problems, they fixed the problem for me free of charge and I haven’t had any problems since. I also recommend checking out their financing options. Jim was able to find me a loan with a VERY low rate, and lower monthly payments that I anticipated, despite my lack of credit history! I would not hesitate to recommend Windham Auto Sales to friends and family.
I have bought cars from Goulet Auto Sales, Team Nissan, Rockingham Nissan, Patrick Subaru, Rizzo’s Wholesale, Ocean Subaru (STAY AWAY FROM OCEAN SUBARU!!!), and Granite Ford… Windham Auto Sales is hands down the best experience I’ve had. Steve communicates well through email, which a lot of dealerships are reluctant to do, they just wanna get you in there. As corny as it sounds, walking the lot with Steve picking out a car felt like I was with a friend, not a salesman. Paperwork and financing were a breeze, got the exact price and payment I was looking for, even the young kid washing my car was cool. VERY refreshing experience!
I just purchase my 3rd vehicle here. The salesperson has always bent over backwards to keep me happy!
Don’t buy from this dealership! Everything the other people have been saying is true. I traveled 3 hours to NH to see this car that the salesman told me was in great shape. I test drove the car and all seemed well minus the fuel light being on. Once we started talking numbers the salesman got very defensive which made my wife and I a little uncomfortable. I ended up buying the car and they never offered to fill it up with gas. They said “the way gas prices are now a days we can’t afford it.” Seriously? but about half way home the check engine light came on. When i checked it out at home to see what the problem might be, the oil was over full, no radiator fluid, and light smoke arising from engine. The next day I had my mechanic check it out and it ended up being that the Turbo was bad. $1100 dollar part. I called to speak to the owner and still have not herd back. Car has been sitting in my driveway for 2 weeks now. I regret using this dealership because I feel scammed. That was a $18,000 mistake
Watch out.
I found the type of car I am looking for at this dealership’s internet site and called. Asked if they would allow the Honda dealership to check it out since I live many hours away. I would pay for the inspection and if all checked out I would buy the car and if not they can keep the inspection report. They tried their best into making me belive that it did not need to be checked and that their CSI rating was my assurance that ‘all was well’ with the car. I’m sure as soon as my check cleared they would ship the car in ‘as is’ condition. check it out before you buy!
Please, take the advice of all of the people on here. This place should be shut down. I may be a little hot headed at the moment since my newly purchased vehicle needs over $1800 worth of work to the engine, but save yourself the money, headaches and hassle. Go somewhere else!
i was treated fairly .the salesman was very nice!
Will not think twice to put you in and unsafe car. They will also slap a inspection sticker an any car to get it sold.
Not happy with the vehicle, too many problems. They will put a sticker on a vehicle that WILL NOT PASS anywhere else!
Purchase three vehicles from this dealership and all three had major repairs needed within the first year. The transmission on one vehicle went within the first two weeks of owning it which was covered under the 30 day warranty but all the major repairs for each one within the first year came to almost the price that was paid for each vehicle. Will never purchase a vehicle here again and will never recommend to anyone.
