I initiated Jim about a 2008 Toyota Prius. We agreed on the price and gave him credit card deposit. After some back and forth phone calls, I was told by the used car manager that they won’t sell this car to me because it is too complicated per the General Manager. I was the one pursueing them wanting to buy this car. They acted like they don’t want my business…they said so…by the Use Car Manager named Frank. What a disappointment!! They have so much business that I was turned away because they have to do more then usual paperwork. I got a loan thru Capital One and was willing to write the check to them and not pick the car up for a week. they said it is too much risk for them and beside, they like only clean deal. Nothing complicated. Imagine that, dealer having to do a little more more…they said it is not worth their time. Frank actually said that!! Wow!! It was a great price and Jim was good, just not a follow up. He was nice on the phone. I think they are just too busy. Anyway, they are a bunch of sorry — people that don’t want to sell me a car for whatever reason after we agreed on price and gave them deposit.
As Danbury Dodge had a bad sales reputation in late 70’s early 80’s to the point of posting and driving with a banner to inform the public was necessary, their sales reputation continues in the Millenium. My daughter seeked and bought a car from them on an impulse while I was away on buisness. Come to find out after reviewing her paperwork, the salesmen Nuno and John, took complete advantage. To start, they up charged the vehicles MSRP by $1161.00. 2nd, charged 275.00 for new plates when she specifically wanted her original plates transfered. 3rd, a Prep fee for 275.75. 4th, a Dealer conveyance fee for 700.00. 5th, convinced her of window etch security for 199.00. 98% useless unless it’s taken from a dealership and then still pretty much useless if taken from professionals.
With a credit score over 700, their conspiracor banker gave her a great rate of 6.49, lmao. I know these Three Musketeers had a great laugh along with playing her for 5HRS, yes 5HRS! Since I have conservitorship over my daughter, I now have my attorney invloved and patience will revile the last laugh. Salesmen of this nature should be careful of who’s they choose to stiff.
