I was blown away at the great customer service at Ridings Westown in Jacksonville Il. All the staff were attentive, pleasant, and at no time did I feel pressured. I got a great trade in on my car, and paid several thousand less for my purchase than I would have in St. Louis. It was well worth the drive and I would definitely purchase a vehicle from here again. 🙂

I highly recommend Reliance Auto car dealership for their trustworthiness.;)
I bought 4 cars from Reliance Auto dealer in Downey. I’ve been a loyal customer since 2001. The last car I bought in May 2009 with my tax refund was a 98 Dodge Intrepid with low mileage. Excellent interior and exterior; a show room condition. I wanted it bad. There were three other customers wanting this exact same vehicle. He said, “This will be a three thousand dollar car but it is not ready to sell.” This car was just delivered to the lot. I agreed to pay the $3K price plus transfer fees and cost, and we shooked hands. It was a deal of the century for me.
I offered to give $500 deposit, and the rest of the money in two days but David just shook my hands and said it’s yours, pay me later. He was by himself and really busy at the time. Reliance Auto spends at least 3 days reconditioning each of their inventory. Very meticulous.
I was ready with my money in a couple of days. I visited the lot to see it pimped up. Lo’ and behold, two other buyers were also there checking and waiting for my Intrepid. David told me that It was going to take longer before I could pick it up. I noticed the hood of my future car was empty. There was neither engine nor transmission. David said, “Sorry this car is being over hauled. It will take longer than I thought. I gave you my word, the price is still the same.” as he pat my back.
I made sure I deposited $500 that day; and after the car was repaired in about a week or so, I paid it in full. Reliance Auto completed the transfer and I got my registration the following week. I know that my automobile is reliable, dependable and definitely in a very good condition. I give them A++++ for my 4 vehicles.:D
I know a lot about cars. I know when they are in good condition or not. I’ve been to 20 dealerships around town big and small dealers. I shopped for a while before I made a decision. I am retired and I have a fix income. I can’t afford to buy an automobile and then thinking I have to fix it. What I like about Reliance Auto in Downey, California is that I could actually see them recondition their cars. Their prices are very reasonable and cheap. Cheap is good for me. I bought a 1996 Ford Taurus four years ago, and I still have it. All I have to do is make sure I change oil and brakes regularly. I drive back and forth to San Bernardino County and Los Angeles at least three times a week, what I save on repairs; I spent on Bingo and slot machine. I highly recommend Reliance Auto, David and Pearl are good people. I still remember their phone number it is 562 904 1448. I am getting ready to buy another vehicle for my girlfriend. I am staying in San Bernardino now but driving 60 miles to Reliance Auto is worth it.
Not only the price but also the service is excellent. The staff at Reliance in Downey are very respectful of my desires and they are trustworthy. I bought 4 cars from Reliance Auto dealer in Downey.
