All around best car buying experience I’ve had! Torey and the guys were great . I think this place has really made some changes for the better…
This was my worst car buying experience ever.
Strongly recommend any dealership than Crain Kia. We did paperwork for a Kia Soul, that they had to do a “dealer trade” for, which they assured me would be ready for pick-up in a week. We traded in a car and put down $8,000 for the Soul. A week went by, and we got a call saying they couldn’t find the one we wanted, but they found one without the lighting package, and would get it, and install it when it got to the dealership, and would be ready the following week. After the car still did not come in, they said they found another one and would be picking it up in three days, and we’d have the car in 4 days. on that 4th day, they told us they were ordering the parts for the lighting and that it would be another week before we could have our car. I told them I wasn’t happy, but they refused to entertain they’d done anything wrong. After I contacted Kia corporate and filed a complaint, I called the sales manager at Crain Kia, and he basically told me that they couldn’t make me happy so he decided they were just going to not sell me the car, and reverse the contract that we’d already signed.
Will not do business with Crain dealerships of any sort, because of this experience. It is the absolute worst car buying experience I’ve ever had.
I was interested in a vehicle to replace mine that had been wrecked. First thing I asked for was CarFax, they presented something different (AutoCheck), which said the vehicle had never been in a wreck. The salesman and I test drove the vehicle for a short distance. I told the salesman and the finance guy that my check would not be good until the insurance paid off on my car. Driving the vehicle home, I noticed that it would drop to a lower gear when on the freeway. I took it to my mechanic, who referred me to a transmission specialist. The transmission shop checked the computer and replaced a part then said that might not fix the problem. It didn’t, so I took it back and Crain/Kia said they replaced it with a NEW transmission, with me paying half. I drove the vehicle home and noticed a slight hesitation at times. The air conditioner went out, so I took it back to my mechanic, who replaced the compressor, I also had him to check the hesitation, and change fluids and wires. He also told me that whoever replaced the pan on the transmission, tightened it so tight that it ruined the gasket, causing transmission fluid to escape. When he replaced the gasket, he said there was metal filings in the old fluid, and asked if it had been rebuilt. I told him it was supposed to be new, he said that it was not new. I guess that is not the only lie Crain/Kia told me, because their AutoCheck said the vehicle had never been wrecked, but CarFax showed that it had been wrecked! Buyer beware, because even the Attorney General’s Office told me that I had bought it, and could be forced to pay for it. By the way, the insurance check did not come in in time, and I had to make the full amount myself. (The insurance check came in a month later.)
Bought a 2003 Kia Sorrento. Very low milage but they had the price jacked up. Met me with my offer and we paid about $200.00 more than we wanted. F&I guy was really shady, we ended up getting gap on the vehicle that I really did not want but he said could not get the deal without which I found out later was untrue. Was also told by the salesman that this vehicle would not need the timing belt at 60000 but it is there today getting this work that is going to cost me $700 plus when all is said and done.
sold me a brand new kia sportage. after signing the contract i was informed that the vehicle had 6500 miles on it, that is a used car. service after the sale was the worst i have ever experianced. these people are not honest and this has been the nightmare dealership you always heare about. use you own judgement before buying from these people.
they contacted me after a slight interest on my part .lied to me, tried to fanagle a useless warranty program saying the bank insisted treated me like a little woman that lacked common-sense, the salesman peters even told that a used car with 36000 miles was actually better than a new one sure.the best part was when rob smgr told me i needed to give the bank 2000 so i could get a better rate.i left.then i called back to get the name of the bank i was told by david croft that my version “didn’t happen” i guess the person with me heard it wrong too go figure…be warned these a dirty lying neanderthals….
Salesman got mad and sent a vile email because I told him another dealership made a better offer. He then went on to accuse the other dealership of being dishonest. I was sent an email a day after asking for a simple quote. One of the last emails said “My attempts to reach you have not been successful, but would like to make sure I have done all I can to help with your automotive needs.” Although the guy called me and told me the quote a few days earlier. It was like he expected me to answer each and every email he sent. I had to tell the guy that I am a busy person and I will not be answering his email a day. I got an angry response when I told him to knock of the sales tactics. I had to threaten to call corporate to make him stop contacting me with his nonsense. I wouldn’t buy from this dealership if they were having a going out of business sale and there were free pony rides. I also looked them up on the BBB site and found that they are not BBB accredited. Buyer beware.
It started with the Sales person being dishonest about the amount of our trade in. They said one number and then wrote 1/2 that on the sales sheet. Now the problem is Finacing. They said our monies owed was 10941.96 but told Cap One it was 12283.92, that is an additional 1342.00 added on to the bottom line with out our knowledge. Very shifty, very dishonest.
They did me the very same way. Told me one thing and wrote up something else. I guess it was my fault for signing something and not reading the whole thing. Lesson learned! Tried for days to call the finance guy would not answer or return my calls. (imagine that)
