Being a single female, I asked around for recommendations for a car dealership that would treat me well; with respect and honesty. Wantagh Mazda was recommendation by a coworker but BOY AM I SORRY I TOOK HIS ADVISE!!!!!!! To sum it up, the devil lives there! They are all sneaky, sleazy and vulgar! BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :devil(:devil(:devil(
Wantagh Mazda’s assistant service manager Jim and service manager Keith were both extremely rude, evasive and downright nasty when dealing with a repair which fell under the Federal EPA statute regarding emission problems. Neither was particularly interested or even cared that they were required to replace a part that fell under this law and even wanted a fee for diagnosing the problem, which also was a clear violation of the law. When asked when the part could be expected, the evasive answer of “I don’t know” was given. Weeks have gone by and no call to return for the repair. Wouldn’t trust them at this point anyway. Went to Garden City Mazda, the difference was night and day. Just a class act all the way. Polite and efficient, repaired in less than two days. Wantagh is “still waiting” for the part to come in. They clearly want no part of warranty repairs, no money in it. They could care less about how they are representing the dealership or Mazda USA. Steer clear.
It seems that its all about who you deal with because I went to Wantagh Mazda and was helped quickly and it was a warranty issue involving my cat converter. On the other hand I went to Garden City and was told that there was nothing wrong with my car and that it was simply a flash code that keep making my check eng light come on. I honestly dont trust Garden City sales or Service Department along with there newly acquired Huntington Mazda.
My problem is with the finance department. I was told I could transfer however many years my extended warranty had left if I purchased a new mazda. After one year with the Mazda three I decided to purchase a CX7. I got a better deal at Garden City Mazda and bought it there. I am still waiting for my refund on the extended warranty from Wantagh Mazda. I had to purchase another extended warranty at Garden City Mazda and was told by both dealerships that I would get a refund. After sending all my paperwork (originals) to Wantagh Mazda (which I was told to do by Danny in the Financial Department), he send I would receive my check in a month. Needless to say it has been almost two months and I haven’t received a thing. I called Danny and never received a call back. I will be calling hom again. I feel I was tricked and Conned. I am a loyal Mazda customer. This is my fifth Mazda and I don’t appreciate how I was treated.
