I had bought 3 cars from this dealer in the past bu t I will never buy another. I put $2000 down on a car I bought a year ago and wanted to trade it in. Now Steve tells me my car has little value and depreciated $6000 in one year??? I am low mileage driver and vehicle perfect condition. It’s obvious they are focused on money and don’t care about return business……so they won’t be getting my business again.
I went in to lease/buy a new car. i traveled 2 hrs because they were the only dealership with the exact car i wanted. I had the ad printed out from the internet with the PRICE. I met with the salesman and he said they would honor that price. After the numbers were calculated i thought it seemed high but i was told that is just the way it is. I was excited about my new car so i left it alone and drove home. The next day i couldn’t shake the feeling something was wrong. I spoke with the manager and he told me the price i was charged was THOUSANDS higher!!! What?, Why i asked. Because it is a “hot” car and that is how much they can charge. I was Furious. I was lied to and tricked. Was it because i was a single female that really wanted the car. I didn’t think car dealerships stilled ripped people off like this!! Do Not Trust Them !!!
I had the best car buying experience from this dealership last month…I’ve never thought that I would trust another sales person again until I met Romeo and gave me the best service and honest way to sell a car…my family bought about 9 cars from this guy… A+ I would highly recomend this dealership and Romeo to deal with if you are in a market of buying a used or new car…
Do not buy a used car. They sold me a car that the first two days it had been spraying antifreeze everywhere. They just told me it was the stuff they spray under the hood. I was promised a car while they were working on it and after driving a half an hour to get there with my grandparents they say we never promised that. I am a single mother that is a veteran. I needed a ride to school. I had only had the car under two weeks and it was smoking from under the hood. After talking with honest mechanics I was told they should have been able to find that problem. Bad radiator. The GM told me that’s what you get for buying a car for 6,0000. They tell me that the car needed over 2,000 worth of work so I would have to pay 680.00 out of that and they would eat the rest. Come to find out two weeks later after they told me they checked all the belts the serpentine belt was bad and a pulley. Come to find out they did not fix anything but what I paid for. I have had the car for a month and a half and it has only worked for 2.5 weeks. I will never buy another from them.
My family has bought over 10 Hyundais throughout the years from this place and anything we have needed we’ve been very well taken care of. Hyundai has shown us that after they sell, they serve, and while waiting for oil changes is ridiculously long, the car buying side of it is great.
Condescension, arrogance, and even borderline hostile behavior.
Hard to believe, but true.
My husband and I went looking for a kia rio. they had one that was gold. That day they “coulton”, told us that we had the car. All we had to do is put 1500 down. so we did what he said. signed all the paper work. The sales man told us that because it was saturday we would have to wait untill monday to see aboult being finaced, but we could drive off with the car with a dealership plate. I was so excited. I thought that it was great!!! everything seemed like we had the car. but three days later they wanted to go up on the price of the down payment to 6000 down plus the 1500. if I had 7500 I would have cashed out on a car. so we took the car back. still have yet to get our money. Yet. We’ll see tomrow. it was a total waist of time if you ask me. And money… I hope they give me my money
I was the salesperson, Colton, on this deal. I was very straightforward and told them we would be working on the financing on this car. I am not the finance manager, but they could not get the car financed because of past credit issues without a little more money down. The bank wanted an extra $2,000 down which would have been a total of $3,500. A check has been written and given to the customer for the full $1,500 refund on Friday May 14th.
I purchased a pre owned 2009 Sonata. After I got the car home I noticed cracks in the front grille. I was promised a repair & was told by the salesman that the problem would be fixed, but would take a couple of weeks to get the parts in the house. After several weeks of not hearing from the dealership with regards to the grille repair I called & was told that the parts are still on order. After several more weeks I stopped into the dealer & talked to the salesperson & was told that one part was in & that they were waiting for the other part. After a couple more weeks of waiting I was told that the part had come in, but was the wrong color & they would have to order another part & it should be in house in about a week. That was three weeks ago & after E-mails to the internet sales Mgr. & phone calls to the Service Mgr. & the salseman I was promised that the problem would be taken care of. At this moment I am waiting for a call from the salseman who promised he would get back with me in five minutes. That was about three hours ago. Even if this problem ever gets fixed I will never do business with this dealership again nor will I recomend it.
My husband left with a car, after using his as a trade-in. When he left, the salesperson did not give him his VA tag back. A few days later, the dealership started saying they needed more paperwork, money, etc…and that the deal was not finalized and that they had given my husband the car without having a financer! After weighing options, we decided to keep our SUV and return the Hyundai. Upon picking up our SUV, the tags were missing and the dealership claimed they did not have them. Upon arriving home, we noticed the registration was missing, too! 😡 Because the dealership could not find my husband’s tags, they gave my husband a dealer tag to use.
A week went by and still no tags or registration. The dealership tried offering many different deals to get my husband to buy the car, including taking and additional $200 off of his monthly payment. We still opted to keep the SUV. After a little over a week of not having his tags back, Jose sent me (WIFE) a nasty text message to MY phone (not my husband) saying he would file a stolen dealer tag report if we did not return the tag today.
I called, spoke with a “sales manager” who told me he would just issue a temp registration and tag for my husband if they could not find his. So, my husband went there. While inside talking to a chubby/fat “sales manager” (who my husband said was really nasty to him), someone went to the SUV and removed the dealer tag without telling my husband. Then, they told him they could not issue a temp tag or registration for the car. Basically, they said “we lied to you, lost your tag, regsitration, and your car is no longer street legal – too bad.”
There is now a filed police report (against Coastal Hyundai), for theft, and a call into the customer relations manager. No results, yet, but even if they get a temp registration and tag, I WOULD NOT DO BUSINESS WITH COASTAL HYUNDAI – or attempt to – based on my husband’s misfortune with them.
Bad and unethical business practices, as far as I’m concerned.
