I recently purchased a Mini Cooper S from Honda of Watertown. My salesperson Rick, explicitly told me that they put new tires on the car. When I got it inspected, the mechanic told me that these tires were completely shot. Now i’m waiting for Rick and his manager to do the right thing and replace the tires. Now I wonder what else Rick lied about.
Do yourself a favor, don’t shop here. Don’t buy from any place that has the Jon Lorensen name on it. You’ll not get anything remotely close to their motto “We take integrity in our business dealings very seriously”.
I went into the dealership looking for a potential deal that would not hold me responsible for the excess miles on my 2007 Honda Accord Lease. The sales representative explicitly stated there was an “incentive program” ending that very day which would include the dealership paying for the overage in miles and I would only be responsible for the remaining payments on my lease. Approximately a month after I purshased the car, I received a bill in the mail indicating that I had an outstanding balance on the overage in miles. I contacted the sales representative who then said that there was “no such incentive program that was being offered and he never recalled explaining to me that the dealership would pay off the excess miles on the car”. Despite the fact that I had another person with me and during the time when we were making a decision at the dealearship we had also contacted two other people explaining to them what the “incentive program” was and whether or not I should purchase the car, the dealership refused to acknowledge any deal because it was not “documented” in the purchase file. Since I assumed a reputable place would have provided me with those documents explaining the verbal agreement, I never thought to question the sales rep. or the business manager again when I was signing the final documents. Due to this ordeal I have never felt more cheated and lied to in my life. Obviously, the sales representative only told me what I needed to hear to purchase a car from them and never intended to follow through on his end of the agreement. Thanks to the lies and deceit by David Bonomo and the rest of Honda of Watertown, I have been cheated out of 1700 dollars.
