THEY COULD HAVE KILLED ME!!!
They left the front wheel loose on my brand new 2013 KLR 650.
I rode the bike from 162 miles in the dark to my home from this dealer.
Could not believe my eyes when I got my new ride in the garage.
A) Front Axle nut loose
B) One Axle pinch bolt went missing on the way home.
C) The other pinch bolt was loose
D) Speedo cable loose.
E) Hand guards loose too.
It would have been a mystery why I was dead.
Straight road, front wheel comes off, then run over by a tractor trailer.
I couldn t sleep for days. I have a wife & daughter.
They offered a extended warranty on one call but then, Took that offer off the Table They didn t like that I was mad about the front wheel they left loose. Offered a set of saddlebags but never got them. Their way of making it right was sending a kid 3 hrs each way to put the missing pinch bolt in & snug all the stuff I found loose. Gee…I could have done that in a few minutes, big deal.
Champions Honda did not make this right in my book.
The owner of the dealer should have personally called & apologized.
Tim that I dealt with about the front wheel being loose said I should have never rode the new bike on the highway He said quite a few other stupid things to boot.
Kawasaki USA did nothing as well to make this right with me either, after I informed them that Champions Honda let a new bike go out the door with the front wheel loose.
