The biggest reasons:
1). Dishonest
2). Lack of responsiveness to fix their error
Bought a car (was with my wife and 3 kids)… end of day.
Declined verbally twice that I didn’t want a warranty, they snuck one in anyway.
Days after when combing through ppwk I was upset, thinking that they took advantage of parents being distracted by their kids… but that’s ok I knew it could be undone.
Made call to request to start the cancel process… let the run-around beging:
-they would email or fax the form–had to be mailed, what a lie!
-they mailed me a form I received in a few business days… thoroughly filled in, faxed and emailed the form
-few bz days later followed up and Honda has no record of this warranty
-call Dealership back and they identified it was with another company–sent me the wrong form.
-asked for the correct form to be sent me and a call back from my finance guy and they aren’t returning my call.
Mistakes happen all the time but business but when a client gives you multiple opportunities to make it right and you continue to fail or turn you back on this that is unacceptable. Not to mention if a warranty is declined twice there is no need to be dishonest and add it to the paperwork anyway.
If you have to use them I advise watching your back!
I just went in to test drive a new car–My big mistake was staying there after they said, “This is the perfect time to buy…you can get a great deal.” Not at all true. I ended up paying way more because they jacked up the price at the end and paid me barely anything for my trade-in. These guys will pretend to befriend you, then stab you in the back. I love my car but this experience has made me never want to go back to this dealer again. I don’t trust them at all. They are shady! My advice: get bids from dealers online and if anyone pressures you, walk away ASAP!
Avoid these very high pressure, bait and switch con artists. Hondas are nice cars but these guys are not…
I have used Right Honda for both new sales and service. Both were a bad experience. I will start with sales. I think we got a good deal on our car and I really love it, but I found their sales people to be very aggressive and high pressure. That I expect, but I want my new car to be perfect and our was not. When we test drove it the check tire light was on. We were assured that it would be checked and fine when we drove it out, but a couple weeks later it came back on. It turns out the rear tire had a slow leak that was not repairable or under warranty. So we had to replace the tire on our brand new car. I did not finance, so I cannot review that aspect.
THEN I used their service department- TOTAL NIGHTMARE! We have a second Honda that is about 5 years old. I needed to take it in for an oil change and a repair. I called and made an appointment and got a quote for both price and the time the repair should take. When I took it in the next day at the appointed time I was told they had no record of my appointment and it would cost over $100 more than the quoted price and take twice as long! I made the appointment early in the morning thinking it would take 2 hours and I could get some shopping done in nearby stores and my husband could sleep in. Now I had 4 hours to kill so I called him and woke him up to take me home. Two hours later they call and the car is ready! uuuugghhh! I woke him up for nothing (the only day we get to sleep in!). When I picked up the car I complained about everything and was told I shouldn’t take it in on a Saturday, that they are busy and understaffed on Saturdays. Shouldn’t that be taken care of? Then $360 later I get home and look at the paperwork and find a note that the air filter should be changed. Didn’t I just pay them to do that? Honestly. I will never set foot in Right Honda again. I love my cars and will always buy Honda, but I’ll go elsewhere next time.
We visited this dealership to learn about the vehicle we were interested in and the sales person was very nice and helpful. We went home to do a little more research online on our trade value and put out a request for offers on the new vehicle to several dealerships in our area looking for their best price. We used Edmunds and a few other online websites to get quotes back. We wanted to give our sales guy a shot at our business since he was so helpful showing us the car but when we went in his sales manager told us our trade was worth MUCH less (1/2 the value) then what we ended up getting at another dealership with ZERO negotiation and basically laughed at our printed out offer for the new vehicle from another dealership telling us it was a hoax which it was not! This guy was a piece of work and is the type that gives car salesmen a bad name. Stay away from here!
Worst car purchasing experience I ever had! Bunch of high pressure sales people. Switch and bait. Liars!!
The sent me a certificate for a prize, when I finished negotiations, the salesman told me that the certificate was invalid and wouldn’t return it to me. My negotiations to purchase this car was extremely high pressure and they were going to sell me a car and I trusted them to follow through honestly. The truth does not interest these people. A sale does…I won’t buy a Honda ever again – and stay away from the Scottsdale Dealership at all cost.
