Varney Buick will lie to you about “nothing wrong with your car” (piston slap- burning oil) until the warranty runs out, and you try to trade it in. car becomes worth 3000.00 less than trade value cause of “NORMAL PISTON SLAP”
Larry comer will lie to you about how many times the lemon he just sold you was purchased and returned for MANY problems!!!
When you want to trade the 20,000.00 lemon LARRY COMER just sold you back in LARRY will tell you to go across the street to quirk auto park to trade it back in cause “they don’t want the lemon back”!!!
This dealership lies to you steals your trade and most of all gives your personal info out about the “dirt bag customer he just had to deal with” (LARRY COMERS WORDS)

I had purchased my 1995 Yukon from another dealer and brought it to Varneys for service in 1997. I was treated very well. Based on that treatment I traded-up at Varneys in 1999 for the Yukon I own now. Over the years my Yukon has had all of the usual maintenance issues, along with some unusual ones, and I have never been let down by the service team at Varneys. They are an honest and hard working bunch who have given me affordable options to keep my vehicle on the road. Consequently, as the vehicle approaches 130,000 miles, I am able to drive a safe dependendable vehicle that is saving me thousands due to the fact I haven’t had to buy a new vehicle (much to the dismay of the sales department I’m sure!) I’ve yet to find a better service department, dealer or independant, and I’ve owned Fords, Saabs, an Audi and a Toyota.
Purchased a 2006 subaru outback with apx 14,000 miles on it. traded a 2005 buick lacrosse for it, First week having it power steering went, When I called larry to tell him power steering went, larry told me that the warranty ran out. So unable to help. Cost apx 600.00 to fix, while car was in getting that fixed I was told that the tires would need to be replaced before winter At wear bar. I called larry again and told him about tires, With this being an inspection item He told me to call the service department. So I did I was told if tires at wear bar nothing they could do for me!!!
I paid 20,000.00 for this car and have to put over 1,200.00 in the first two weeks.
Noticed that the A/C was not working Cold and hot cold hot, When I called larry about this he said without hesitation that this is the was it works. I found that this car had been sold and returned a few times and this last time they did nothing to it before they put it on the lot!!!! Brake pads rotors at 16,000 miles, and the list goes on.
With having so many problems with this car , in December I returned to varneys to trade it back in, This time larry wouldnt even give me a price on the lucerne I looked at. Wouldnt give me a trade in value for the subaru. He told me to go home and he would call me when they had a price, He never did give me a price!!!
When I traded in my buick for the subaru I owed 153.00 on my buick and larry was rude several times to me when I said I wanted to think about the subaru!! I should have turned around and walked out and never went back!! but I didnt!! I let them ( I will use cardealer lingo) Steal my trade!!! which is my fault!! but you have to be careful around people like this!!! Now they didnt want this lemon back for the 3rd 4th 5th time. So larry told me that varneys didnt want that car back.
Stay away from this dealership!!! They SCR#$ED me which is my fault!!! but as we all know car dealers can do as they want and not much you can do once you sign papers!! its yours and how they can do this to people, well I just do not know???
should have known when larry laughed at me while I was trying to trade the subaru back in what kind of person he is!!! but thats why his coworkers call him high pressure larry!!! I would be proud!! IT does take all kinds in this world thats why we are in the mess we are!!!! the dealers SCR$%EW the customer and fail like GM has and who has to pay??? the people who they are laughing at. All the way to the bank!!!
It is just sad and wrong for larry to do this to me but he isnt the # 1 salesman for nothing!!! so will varneys help me?? Nope!!!

Purchased a subaru outback aug 09, went back in dec to trade it back in, Larry commer was the sales rep, I asked to get a price on a buick lucerne, he asked if I looked at any other cars at other places, I told him yes across the street looked at a buick lacrosse, Found larry to be rude!!! He was more interested in what kind of deal I was getting across the street, I asked again to get the price for the lucerne, he told me that he would call me with price. I waited the sales mgr called me to ask the price I got across the street, When I would not tell him he said he would get back to me. I called later that afternoon talked to larry commer which he was very rude, still wanted the price acrosse the street.
This car was traded in by a dentist, only owning for 3 months is there something wrong with this car?? I called the dentist no call back!! Now varneys does not want car back??
Ok with me, I would never go back there again Their prices are 2-3 thousand above kelly blue book and I guess they fill all sold carswith gas, when customer pickes it up well mine was empty!! I called the next day and was told they do fill all sold cars b 4 delivery, Again mine was empty. I guess larry filled his own???
Again very rude!! High pressure to trade my buick in, told the subaru was the best car on lot b 4 it was mine, Now they do not even want it back, makes u wounder??
