Best experience ever buying a new vehicle at Randy Marion GMC. I will send all my friends and family. Thanks Randy Marion!
I do my homework before making a decision like buying a car, so when I go in I feel prepared and I know what a good price for me is. The prices this dealership was trying to make me pay for a GMC Sierra was ridiculous. On top of that the finance guy laughed at me when I told him what I expected lease payments to be, and told me that it was not possible. Then he kept trying to get me to stay by offering me trucks I had already told him I was not interested in. On top of that, my salesman didn’t know anything about the trucks he was selling. Also, the other salesmen kept cutting in with my salesman to tell him that they had someone on their way up there to look at the truck I was interested in so I should go ahead and get it (Nobody ever came). I used to work in sales and it all just seemed like a real desperate attempt by everyone there to make sure I didn’t leave without getting something. I ended up going to Folger GMC in Charlotte, and we had a deal literally within minutes of finishing the test drive. I told the salesman what I wanted lease payments to be (and even went lower than what told the salemen at Randy Marion just to see what they said) and he came back with an offer that was even better than I was expecting. I drove the truck home that day. It really highlighted how bad the people at Randy Marion were. Also, the Randy Marion dealership didn’t even put bedliners in a lot of their trucks (they said that was extra). Every dealership on the planet will put a bedliner in a truck bed. Also, they put tacky pinstripe stickers down the sides of all of their vehicles, and the pinstripes end with the name of the make and model in stickers on the side of your car (like it’s the 80s or something). These are all terrible touches that are specific to that dealership. Not impressed. There are a lot better options out there that are much easier to deal with.
I purchase and service all of my vehicles Randy Marion in Huntersville. They are the Best!!!
FULL pressure to sell me a (used) car. Even kept calling me as I was driving from Raleigh to Huntersville to see how much longer I would be before arriving. Walked away 3 times from the deal that they were insisting that I take – and had the salesman walk out the door with me, still trying to convince me to take the car – even knocked on the window of my car before I tried to drive off. I HATE the touch of class adder that they made me take. what a rip-off! I took the car to another dealership less than 1 month after I purchase it to have it looked at. They wouldn’t let me drive the car off of the lot until I had purchased 4 new tires, that dealership said that Randy Marion had to have known that the tires were bad, as the white cords were showing, and that they NEVER should have let me leave the dealership with those tires – knowing that I had to drive 150 miles back to Raleigh at 9:00 p.m. at night! That dealership was livid that Randy Marion did that to me. I called salesperson at Randy Marion about the tires and he accused me of “hot rodding” the vehicle….really!? I’m a 52 years old woman, I really think my “hot rodding” days are over! Other dealership put the car on their electronics, they could tell that I had only put a below minimum amount of miles on the car since purchasing it, and that I hadn’t been “hot rodding” it. The other dealership phoned Randy Marion to talk to them, they wouldn’t budge on anything, and completely denied that they knew about the tires. Finally, the only thing that they told me that they would do is sell me four new tires at their cost, (you think that I would believe them about “their cost” – probably would put another $600 Touch of Class added to the tires!” And on top of that they told me that I had to drive the car back from Raleigh to Huntersville for them to do the work! Really a 52 year old woman, driving 152 miles on bald tires on a high performance car!??? RIGHT! What a joke, and then they keep sending me little cards about coming in and seeing their new selection of vehicles. I will NEVER set foot in their dealership again, and will tell EVERYONE I know about my negative experience with them.
Totally deceptive and dishonest dealership! Saw price advertised on website, researched car – went in saw car and was told they would not be able to honor price advertised on website. Said they don’t maintain the website and that price had expired. Pointed out that if it’s on website they must honor it. (Actually pulled up website and showed them the price while I was there – as if they didn’t know). Wouldn’t sell it at advertised price plus numerous fees. Manager totally dishonest and disreputable. Actually told me he’d go look at the auction next day and see if he could find me one for the price I wanted to pay. Really…you’ll go out to the auction and find me an older car or one with more miles and sell it to me for the price advertised on website for car on dealer lot that I looked at that night? By the way…manager never even called me the next day.
Filed a complaint with BBB and, of course, magically they agree to sell me the car for the advertised price. Should customers have to go through that amount of trouble to get a dealership to honor the price they advertise on their website?
Also…keep in mind all their cars are sold with a “Touch of Class” fee of $600!!! To spray some fabric guard on the upholstery…and their administrative fee of $599 so make sure to add least $1,200 to the price of any car you see advertised.
Even with those fees added in this dealership wouldn’t honor their website advertised price until I contacted BBB.
Stay away!
By the way…I bought my car from another dealership. One that actually was reputable and honest.
Shame on Randy Marion.
