I have been on the market for a new vehicle, as my current lease is about to expire. My last four vehicles have been through General Motors, and I have always had a great experience with GM dealerships. My experience at Andy Mohr was the complete opposite of that.
I test-drove a Pontiac G6 and even told the salesperson that I would be willing to do something today if we were able to work out the payments. The salesperson introduced me to John, the sales manager, who worked out a deal that I agreed to. The deal included a four-year lease, no money down, and waived the security deposit. We went through the entire process of returning my current lease – I even cleaned out my vehicle to prepare for the switch. Two and a half hours later, the salesperson introduced me to the finance manager. As soon as I sat down with the finance manager, he told me I had two options: first, I could put $2200 down and owe the first payment and security deposit or second, I could purchase the car over a 72 month period. The sales manager agreed to a deal that the dealership couldn’t deliver on because the sales manager and finance manager didn’t work out the deal together. They said it had nothing to do with my credit rating and everything to do with how much they bank would lend them to make the deal. What a joke! I was frustrated, upset, and realized not only did they make a promise they weren’t able to keep, I wasted almost three hours of a beautiful Saturday.
The finance manager made me feel trapped. The salesperson kept pressuring me to do something that day. And, before I left, the sales manager said, “Are you sure you can’t put anything down on it?” What business is that of his. He should have asked that again before making me an offer with no money down. It was awful. I have never been treated so badly. I then demanded that I get the vehicle I drove in back and that they tear up the paperwork for my lease return.
Andy Mohr operates with no integrity. Needless to say, I will not be going there or recommending them to anyone.
