Royal Pontiac in Royal Oak, Michigan put a decal on all GTOs they modified. Their decal was similar to our logo. The character on their decal was called Philo. We used the character but added the 6.5 litre emblem replacing the Grand Prix-inspired emblem they used on their decal. We started calling him Barney after a racer named Barney Oldfield.
