Rob and rest of the employees did a great job they had great pricing, the saleperson new what he was doing. Explained everything in great detail. Would recommend Mike Finnin Ford to anyone who is looking for a new or used car.
UNREAL! This place is dishonest. Did not honor their phone offer in person. The finance person was whiny. The sales manager was pious. And the salesperson threw out numbers to offer not cleared by the sales manager!
When he wnats a price for his trade over the phone and misrepresents it – things do change when you arrive at the dealership and an actual appraisal is done.
Here’s an abbreviated version; I had previously had bad experiences here before and the only reason I came here for service was because it was close to Christmas (12/23), and if I needed a part, I figured that they would get it the quickest. My service engine soon light is what needed to be checked, but I figured since I was there, I’d have them check my non-working parking brake. I asked how much it usually cost to fix something like that, and the salesman said its usually between $30-$60. I said that that would be fine, and he said ok, but we’ll let you know if it’s more than that. Then he said they’d call to tell me what the engine needed and how much that would be. When they called 4 hours later he said that the engine needed a part and they needed to order it, and the parking brake needed a new cable but they would take care of it and then gave me the total cost, but needed to know if they should go ahead and order the part so I could get my car sometime on Monday (12/28). I said go ahead, figuring that most of the work was the engine work, since he didn’t tell me it was more than the $60. About an hour later, I started thinking about the cost, then called back to have them cut out the parking brake work since I really didn’t need it. When I called, I asked how much that work was he said that the brake work was where most of the cost was (it was about 2/3 of the total), they were even going to replace my rear drums, which I just replaced 5 months earlier. I told him to stop all the brake work, he said ok. Then he called back and said that they already did $200 worth of work and I was stuck with that cost since I authorized the order. I asked him what my options were, and he eventually said that they could take the $120 part out and put the old part back in, but he’d have to charge for the labor already put into it. Then on Monday morning he called to tell me that the part supplier wouldn’t accept the return for the part, so it was mine either way and wanted to know if I wanted it in my car or in my backseat to take with me. Shady and deceitful.
