This dealership has the worst customer service of any place I have ever been to in my life. Once the realized that I didn’t have stellar credit they began treating me horrible…. I was even screamed at on the phone by a girl named Melissa and told to quit whining and complaining by the finace guy MIKE.. DO NOT buy a car from these people.
I wanted to post a somewhat positive review of my experience at Brown Daub. Found a Mariner I was highly interested in and contacted them via internet. They got back to me right away and when I got there they were courteous and professional. Pete Marino (new sales guy) was great in taking us for a test drive and showing us the vehicle. We had absolutely no pressure from him or anyone else to buy the vehicle. They let us take the vehicle home and keep it overnight which was great.
Originally we had come in for the 1.9 APR on Certified Pre-Owned vehicles and they had assumed it wouldn’t be a problem. When it came time to close the deal though Ford Credit (as usual for Ford Credit) wanted $2500 down before they would give me the 1.9 rate so I walked from the deal. The finance guy knew there shouldn’t have been any reason for the rate to come out in Tier 2 but Ford has crazy ways of grading “credit worthy” customers and without something down they wouldn’t budge. It wasn’t BD’s fault…Ford screwed them out of a sale.
I would highly recommend going to BD but due to Ford Credit’s insanity I would bring your own financing. I ended up buying an Acura RDX and it literally took 2.5 hours start to finish. I feel bad for BD having to deal with FC but I wouldn’t steer anyone away from BD if they’re looking for a new or used vehicle.
Went down to look at a certain vehicle since they are currently offering their “trade in amnesty program” with “up to $8000 over book value” for your trade. First went down with a 2002 suv with less than 100000 miles on it. They told me they were looking for newer vehicles with less miles on it to be sold on the lot. Ok, fair enough. Went back a few weeks later with a 2010 mid size car with less than 10000 miles on it in perfect condition still interested in the same vehicle. They wanted to offer me 700 over fair book vale as a trade in! I told them that wasn’t even an incentive and thanks for wasting my time. They have no intention of giving you a fair trade in amount and will obviously say anything in their ads to get you in the door. Don’t go down there expecting to get any decent trade offers!
I came to Brown Daub Ford because they said they could give me more for my car than any other dealer. I drove 35 mintues and got there and the salesperson didn’t know what I was talking about. I said it’s your promotion, he said hmmm let me check. Then a manager came out and made me fill out a credit appication which I declined to do. No one knew what was going on here. All I wanted to do was purchase a car and instead it was a hassle. I purchased many cars from Frank at BD Chrysler and never had an issue, I go to this store and get fed a song and a dance. WASTE OF TIME! I went to another company and bought my car in less than an hour. I am still so mad at Brown Daub Ford. UGH!!!!!!
First we went for a vehicle with a specific color and other requirements. They kept showing us other vehicles and working numbers from that particular vehicle and it had more than what we wanted. Finally they came down to our financial requirements. After we finalized the purchase. When we got home and reviewed the paperwork, we had found that they changed the terms in the financial agreement so to make our numbers, but was completely different than what was discussed. I had a remote start option added and even that price came out different after the installation. They keep saying they are going to take care of it and fix it, but after a lot of haggling and arguing, it never occurred. Disception was the key here and to be honest, I should have studied the paperwork better before signing. But, they were very good at masking things. Too, late, buyer beware. 😮
Oh, ya, the service department did things the way they wanted to do them, and didn’t care what the customer asked for, and made no attempt to try. So far the issues are still outstanding.
I am so disappointed to hear so many complaints. This used to be a good place to buy a car….. I hope the owners read this.
2002 Ford ZX2
This car has been nothing but headaches…and became much worse when taken to Brown – Daub in Nazareth, PA.
Car left my wife sit i NJ…towed to BD for repairs…I bought the car used with extended warranty.
(1) They said the battery was bad and replaced it at my expense.
(2) Next they called and said the crank position sensor was bad…so they pulled the transmission and replaced it.
(3) Drove the car for a day and it is making a serious grinding sound…back to BD.
(4) Called me and said (think) the main bearings are bad in the engine…going to give me a used engine…***what the F**K.
(5) Oh no we were wrong….the flywheel is cracked….replaced it.
(6) Car back in again…same grinding noise….transmission out again….oh we found it…the torque converter is bad…replaced.
(7) Three days later back in again…leaking coolant at thermostate…replace sending unit.
Between all of the above I must mention they ruined ( 2 ) radiators by stripping the fittings…also replaced water pump and belt which they said was leaking.
All this occured between 66840 to 72686 miles on the odometer.
Well guess what…my warranty is now expired….car has 86,238 miles on it and the grinding noise has returned…
P.S. I forgot to mention they used remanufactured parts in the car….I take the torque converter is on its way out again.
This is the worst experience and car I have ever owned…I wish I knew if there was someone that could help me with this as I feel poor service & parts are the contributing factor here…god I baby this car and it will not hold up….now I’m going to be stuck with a hugh repair bill & I know the car is to old and not worth fixing…..SO BEWARE of Brown & Daub…oh could I tell you so much more..

Today is 2/27/2010 and i just had the worst car buying Experience iv ever had. I had found a ford f150 on there website, so i called in and spoke with a lady by the name of Laura who said she was a sales person and was capable of closing deals, so we proceeded to the next step of getting pre-approved for that truck, prior to me going in to the dealership, because i lived over 2 hours away. Approval, Laura said so we just need now to come in and finalize the paper work, so i asked what time they close, and she said 6pm on a Saturday, and it was already 3pm, but she assured me that we had plenty of time to make it in to the dealership and finish things up. So i make the 2 1/2 hour trip, and along the way around 4:45pm i called Laura just to give her my ETA (estimated time of arrival) at that point and she said great see you when you get her, I get there around 5:15pm only to find out, Laura left at 5pm and the truck is sold to some people that came in while i was on my way there. And the best part of it all is when Mr Daub said and i quote “It happens all the time” not sorry for any confusion or misunderstanding nothing. The guy showed no leadership or care for customer relations. So in all this may be a bad experience with a redneck ford dealer, but its better i never ended up spending my money with a careless ford dealer like BROWN DAUB FORD at 4067 Jandy Blvd Nazareth, PA18064
