Watch out for Pounding Mill Ford’s service department! I took my Lincoln there and, after hooking the car up to the diagnostic machine, they claimed a cylinder needed a new coil and plug. A couple hours later I was told the car ran fine now and gladly paid them $180.
Shortly after leaving, I noticed the exact same “missing” which they claimed to have fixed.
When Pounding Mill Ford was told about this, they said I would have to pay for a new diagnostic. Of course, if they are once again wrong, I will be wasting even more money on whatever “repair” they recommend.
Also, the service manager, Bryan Patton, incorrectly stated that the coil was not covered by my extended warranty, which was purchased from Ford. Now the warranty may not pay, since he was suppose to get authorization before the installation. Will be taking my business elsewhere.
