I bought a car from them last year and have had to do almost $2000 worth of repairs in the first 4 months. I have had problems with the shocks, anti sway bar links, warped tires, broken locks, broken antenna, check engine light, and the alignment. This is all within 4 months of buying it. The check engine light came on the night I drove it home from the dealership. They told me that they sold it “as is” and that they would not fix it. They also told me that it was an older vehicle and I should expect these sort of issues. I’m sorry, but if I spend over $10,000 on a car that is less than nine years old, there is NO WAY anyone should have these types of issues with 4 months of buying the vehicle. They were very dismissive of my problems and never even tried to meet me “half way”. They never once offered to help me. It was a very, very negative experience. I would never buy from them again.
I am having the same issue. I bought a 2006 chevy and it had a slight chirp the salesman Jeremy said it was a $10 A/C belt I am disabled and he knew this. I had the belt and tensioners and pullys replaced and still the chirp gets louder when the engine gets warmer. I saved money to take it to a GM dealer and found the cam bearing is shot and it is over $5200 to repair. I paid just over $10,000 too the general manager Scott Kunes was a jerk and said “try to prove it” made the noise when we bought it. Also Jeremy isn’t working there anymore. He said if we had any problems to bring it back in 3 months I contacted him and he had ignored me as well as Scott Kunes ignored my e-mail. The phone call he was cocky and nasty. Never buy from the Kunes in Elkhorn!!!
