I went in to Safford Dodge to simply get a spare replace key made before my vacation. I was told I had a recall on my model and they were going to fix it for me. I waited and then I was told there was a problem with my door. I was told it wouldn’t open and the button wasn’t going up or down. I had just gone to the store and the locking mechanism was not broke. I even locked the Durango before I went into Dodge. They were the last ones to open my door. I told them their was nothing wrong withthe door prior. They told me that happens when someone puts a slim jim in your car to open it. Funny there was nothing wrong with my car I just came in for a key. I have read many complaints against the service of Safford Dodge in Fredericksburg. I am very sorry I ever took my SUV there for service. I now have to find another dealership to fix my SUV. I currently have to get in the passager side to get in my Durango. This has truly been a service nightmare. We are now taking the issue up with an attorney and 7 on your side.
THIS WAS THE 2ND TIME THAT I TOOK MY CAR IN FOR FOR SERVICE RELATED ISSUES, THE FIRST TIME IT WAS TAKEN IN IT WAS TO INSTALL A GAS TANK WHICH WAS RECALLED BY THE MANUFACTURE, OIL CHANGE AND TO HAV ENITOGEN PUT IN THE TIRES, ON THAT DAY AFTER NEARLY 8 HRS AND AFTER I HAD COME BACK TO PICK UP MY BEHICLE T WAS NOT READY, ADN THEY HADN’T EVEN INSTALLED THE GAS TANK BECAUSE THEY HAD TO ORDER IT, AFTER PICKING UP THE VEHICLE AND DRIVING LESS TEHN 1/4 MILE THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND TOLD THEM THAT I WAS A 1/4 MILE AWAY AND WHAT HAD HAPPENED AND THEY SAID THAT THE SERVICE DEPT WAS CLOSING AND THEY COULD NOT HELP ME..I CONTACTED THE GM AND WAS TOLD TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED BACK AND UPON MY ARRIVAL THEY WOULD HAVE A VEHICLE READY. THE VEHICLE THAT THEY HAD READY WAS PET HAIR INFESTED AND DIRTY AND I TOLD THEM THAT IT WAS UNACCEPTABLE, THEY VACCUMED AND SPRAYED AND NEEDLES TO SAY THE SMELL WAS OVERWHELMING AFTER A FEW HOURS. ON MY 2ND VISIT TO SAFFORD DODGE IN FREDRICKBURG I DROPPED MY VEHICLE OFF ON 8/13/09 TO HAEV THE GAS TANK INSTALLED, AND WAS CALLED AROUND 12 NOON AND INFORMED THAT MY VEHICLE WAS COMPLETE, I PICKED UP THE TRUCK AROUND 8:30P DROVE IT 1/4 MILE TO THE GAS STATION BECAUSE IT WAS LITERALLY ON EMPTY, PROCEEDED TO FILL UP AND AFTER $4.00 THE GAS STARTED COMING OUT, I DROVE TO ANOTHER STATION AND PROCEEDED TO PUT GAS IN TEH TANK AND AFTER ABOUT 7.00 THE GAS STARTED PORING FROM TEH BOTTEM OF THE TRUCK..I ONCE AGAIN HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO SAFFORD DODGE AND CALLED THEM ON SATURDAY MORNING 8/15/09 AND EXPLAINED TO THEM WHAT HAPPENED, THEY SAI DTHAT THEY WOULD CALL BE BACK IN 15 MINUTES, NEEDLESS TO SAY I NEVER RECEIVED THAT CALL IN 15 MINUTES MORE LIKE 12 NOON AS I WAS HEADING TO TEH DEALERSHIP. NONETHELESS IT’S MORE TO THIS STORY BUT I DIDN’T GET THE VEHICLE FIXED UNTIL TUESDAY 8/18/09 AFTER 4. TEH SERVICE TECHNICIANS SEEM TO BE INCOMPETENT!:mad:
