My problem started after my 7 hr trip to Rick Hendrick to buy a 2001 chevy silverado 3500 duramax.When i arrived they had the truck right out front.Jamar came out and greeted me. We started the truck to take it for a ride,right away i noticed smoke coming from the tailpipe.Jamar assured me that i would clear up by the time we got home,because they put a additive to the fuel.Well after another 7 hrs on the road and it still was smoking.Oh i forgot the winshield was broken but they paid me for that.I called the next day and of course could not get a hold of anyone,never saw a dealership that dont answer the phone 80% of the time.Finally after 3 days i spoke with Jamar and told him something was wrong and he had no answer for me but i’ll get back to you.I called everyday 5 times a day to no avail.When i took it to the chevy dealer by me,the told my extended warranty comp,That i needed 8 injectors 2 thermostats,valve cover gaskets,and ABS Module it was burned out. I was flat out lied too and feel they should fix my problems since obviously it was never given the 34 point inspection the claim to do.Where is the justice for the consumer? these dealers sell you unsafe vehicles and get away with it.So now i pay for a truck that i cant afford to have fixed 5,768.00.and paying a loan off for a truck i cant drive.My warranty company would not fix it cause they feel it was pre exiting which i dont blame them at all.Rick hendrick should go to jail for Robbing the consumer. They get you approved for a vehicle then two weeks later all of a sadden you are not approved for that vehicle. So then you get down there they have a vehicle approved for you it is nothing you want. You go to sign the paper work that you was approved for and they add $1500 to the down payment. You ask what the extra money is for and they say that it is for our college discount. Which I get because I am a full time college student for nursing. So I sign the papers then all of a sudden today my husband comes home for work and says that they want they $1500. I am not giving them any more money on a car I don’t want or remotely like. I am getting ready to fill a complaint to the Better Business Bureau today if they don’t get it straightened out. This is only a little bit of what has really happened. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM. They are liers and cheats.
I was sold a 2008 Saturn Astra right before Saturn went out of business for 14000.00, and was told after I bought the car that Saturn was going out of business. Now my car is worth $7500.00 and I can’t get out of it. No one wants the car, not even Rick Hendrick where I bought the car. I have been approved for several loans but because of the negaticve equity in the car I cant afford the payments for another car. I have been to Rick Hendrick 3x and explained to them that they sold me a car that they knew would tank in value but they refuse to help me. They do the same thing they did when I came in the first time, tell me this is the deal and we are losing money on your deal anyways, we are giving you the best you will get. I dont sell cars so at the time I bought the car I had no idea it would be this hard to get out of it. They did not look out for my best interest, they are only concerned with making their money and if you lose that is your problem. They may do better with new vehicles but I would not suggest anyone buy a used vehicle from them.
Had an appointment to purchase a car-drove 4 hours to get there but had to wait half hour before seeing sales person. Spent 3.5 hours there for paperwork! They knew I had another 4 hour ride home.
Car was not like they said it would be.They didn’t do what they said they would on the car,Sent wrong touch up paint to me in the mail, and it has been over a month and I still do not have my registration! Everyday during the last month I have spent either emailing, making calls or bringing my car somewhere to get something done on it or looked at. The worst experience I have EVER had purchasing a car. The manager there helped but wasn’t really willing to do what I wanted (which was what they promised) but he did put me in touch with a dealer here. THANK GOD FOR JEFF GORDON CHEVROLET IN WILMINGTON, NC who took me under their wing and have made everything right for me. Their courtesy driver put me in touch with their customer service dept and it went smooth from there.
Their body shop, detail shop, customer service and their courtesy driver!…..have all been fantastic. I am still not done yet…….it’s been over a month…… Wow, what can I say. This really sucked!!! and………guess I better go buy my own touch up paint, they won’t take back the wrong one and get me the right one. Today I am making phone calls to try and find where my registration might be!!The fun never ends!! Rick Henrick Chevrolet.
