I took my Acura in after I was rear-ended, and gave them a list of the issues that resulted from the accident, asking them to fix all or nothing. (I had just come from a Progressive repair shop where they tried to tell me they could only fix one thing.) I received a call a few days later saying my bumper was painted, come pick it up. 🙁
I picked up my car since they obviously didn’t have any listening skills and I wasn’t about to leave it there any longer with these people. When I called later to inquire about a refund since the repair they did was NOT authorized by me (hello! All or Nothing!), they said they would not issue a refund in full to me.
My boyfriend who works in the area stopped by on his lunch break to talk with the shop owner about our issues, and not only was he yelled at by the manager, Erica, but her repair guys came in the office and threatened to “take my boyfriend outside.” Then she proceeded to call the police on MY BOYFRIEND!!! The police called me at work, which was more than a little nerve-racking and embarassing needless to say. Mind you, he never cursed at or threatened anyone, ever, but he was told never to come on the property again by the city police.
Then I got my insuance rep to speak with her and authorize a refund in full (after alooooot of back and forth), and when I called a few days later to check on the status, I was told they were not sending one because they were waiting for me to pay $200 in storage fees! (for storing my car at a place that did not do the repairs I asked) I had to fight with my agent and the shop owner, and was finally told last week that a check was in the mail for the full refund.
I waited patiently at home. A week went by. Whats taking so long, we live in the same state?
I called this morning to inquire as the the refund status, offering to come by and pick it up on lunch. She informed me she did not have time to explain the process to me ‘again’, and would call me “when they cut it”. I asked her why it had not been cut already as I was informed of last week, and she hung up on me. I called back, and asked the guy who answered for her if I could speak with the lady who just hung up on me, and he transferred me to her voicemail.
It has been over a month since I picked my car up from there, with an extra scratch across the gas tank, and it just keeps gettin better.
Not a single promise made has been kept the entire time. There is no such thing as customer service there.
Please, if you do not want to be ignored, lied to, yelled at, disrespected, and generally treated horribly, do not bring your vehicle to Browns on Midlothian Turnpike in Richmond Virginia. “Ricky” does not want your business or respect, only your money and to have someone to treat like crap.
