Salesman was deceptive and pressured me by telling me that the offer was “only good tonight.” The problem was that the deal ended up not being what we agreed to over the phone. He made me think he had come down on the price of the car when he actually only took off the cash down payment and trade in. Then the price of the same car was lower about a week later on the lot. Will never buy another car from them after buying 3 in about 3 years.
We were pleased with our expeariance at buying a car at Broadway Toyota. We were treated respectfully and made what we felt was a fair offer for their vehicle and they gave us the same treatment for our trade in. We would definately not hesitate to purchase there again or recomend them.
Thank you for your wonderful review. We appreciate your taking the time to visit our dealership and share your experience. At Broadway Toyota-Scion, achieving 100 percent customer satisfaction is our No.1 goal. We strive for excellence and want to make sure our customers have an incredible experience at our dealership. We want to be very helpful, informative, professional and friendly. We are pleased to learn you enjoyed your visit to our dealership. Once again, thank you for your positive review. We look forward to helping you again in the future.

The dealership is very easy to fine….right off of I-5. The whole experience was very nice. We’ve purchased, in the past, from other dealerships in the mid Wilamette Valley; Broadway Toyota is number ONE by far. It was worth the extra travel to deal with them. They fulfilled everything they promised. And our salesperson, Nikki Larson, was superb. Explained everything with very little pressure…..so if you want to be treated like a valuable customer take the drive to Portland. Ask for Nikki, she will not let you down. Also ask her about her CD……what a talent. Thank you Broadway Toyota
On the question Would you recommend this dealership I marked Yes but somehow a no was recorded My answer is a big YES
Highly recommended
Overall great experience, Nikki made it easy and stress free. Love my new car
Purchasing my new Toyota from this dealership was a very pleasurable experience. I never felt pressured or stressed during the entire process. Everyone treated me fairly and respectfully. I am happy to be part of the Toyota family!
Total time lost: 5 hours. At least one hour could have been shaved off had my initial preference of ‘new’ been noted and considered serious. The manager was brought in as if I had done something wrong…and asked for things unreasonable. From there, I was given a booklet as if I could build my own vehicle!!! Imagine the disappointment to FINALLY find out they only had ONE in stock. Could that have been clarified and saved a LOAD of my time??? Yes. Once I realized only one in stock…I was able to see that it met most of my needs…. From there, I was told repeatedly that he’d work with the numbers to see what he could do….then walk out the front door and take a lap before going back to the office directly in my line of sight.
Total money wasted above and beyond: approx $4k. I was given less for my trade in than I could have gotten guaranteed from another dealer…then all but harassed about a missing part. HOW was I going to get this item in?? AS IS, dirt bag. I was also blatantly lied about a discount off of sticker price and every time I attempted to get near my phone (in the 5 hours…..) I ended up with a brand new friend to distract me with conversation. Yes….I could have saved approx 2500…and they said they knew the program….but it was not available on my model. Lied. GM notified and I haven’t even gotten the courtesy of a response.
Please take your money elsewhere.
Excellent service, easy lease – highly recommend! Worked very hard to get us exactly what we wanted.
I purchased a vehicle (2010 Prius) from Broadway Toyota recently and their sales staff was knowledgable, fast and excellent!!! From my salesWOMAN to finance…it was the best vehicle buying experience I’ve ever had. Not to mention their fabulous new building, cafe across the street and friendly service staff. I totally recommend you give them a try if you’re in the market for a vehicle. I’m all smiles…:D;):o:):eek:
RE : BROADWAY TOYOTA
PORTLAND, OR
I walked in to this dealership, 10.40 am, unsolicited,.. and agreed to purchase 2 brand new cars.
1 car was at their lot and the other according to three personnel at the dealer was at another location and had just been shipped in.
from around 11.30 I was continuously told that it would arrive any moment ..someone was on the way with it.
I sat around kept waiting ,,, while being repeatedly asked to sign the paperwork,
I refused and finally a sales associate left to get the car, 2 hours later I was told he was driving back from another local dealer in peak hour traffic. I understand the dealer transfers, I was waiting…finally it arrived at 6.00 pm and since we had passed all time limits and options I had in taking both cars with me, I pressured them to have someone deliver them. they did.
2 days later the financial manager called and asked for extra information about my business, under which the cars were to be registered.
I provided him the information and was told that he will be calling me first thing in the morning.
next day when he did not call, I called him back several times and finally got him on his cell phone.
he was not at work…
being Friday he said he will call me first thing Monday morning….again Monday after several calls I got him on his cell phone only to be told that the people he had to talk to were on east cost and gone home already.
this kept happening for several days…
I have called Broadway Toyota 17 times over this issue…spoke to 3 different people..( I have cell phone records to prove it)
I received 2 calls from them by 2 different people…promising the same “will call you first thing in the morning”
this matter got resolved, when I threatened to return the car//regardless of the consequences !!
after 2 weeks the temporary permit expired, my wife got pulled over by a Washington State trooper….he could not find any record of the vehicle being licensed or under process, we went to the local licensing office…..they could not find any records as well.
it costs $29.00 for a 3 day trip permit.
I was out of town and called Toyota first at 4.18 pm Monday.
I called several times (7) no one could tell me what was going on….all of a sudden everyone was in a meeting….finally I got someone at 5.09 pm she told me the licensing lady had gone home at 5.00 pm and she will call me tomorrow…again no one called so I called and was told at 10.40 am that they are working on it and someone will personally take it to the dmv.
they did finally at 4.00 pm
they also got the tax calculation off by $222.00
and I was charged $20 trip permit for each vehicle and $50 license documentation per vehicle…I still had to pay $178.00 at the licensing office to register the vehicles.
what I don’t understand is why was the title paperwork not sent for processing since I bought the vehicles on June 3rd and it was June 24th.
this problem , from the start has put a huge strain on the relation between me and my wife.
since yesterday she has refused to speak to me,,,i am away out of state on a business trip and she is stuck there with an unlicensed and with expired tags. she tried calling Broadway Toyota and no one there seemed to have an answer,
She works at the hospital and her shift starts at 4.30 in the morning…she had to beg a friend to take her to work and had my son pick her up in another friends car.
all the personal stress and pain that I have put up with is an unreasonable show of gratitude from this dealership that boasts itself to be hassle free car buying experience.
I have so far not received any form of explanation or reason for this lunatic business practice, let alone an apology !!!
I have even gone to the extent of asking them via e mail to call me collect so it would save them money if that was the issue.
I have all cell phone records of calls to them and calls I received from them . I would be very happy to provide them to back these claims.
I am sure I am not the only person having this bad experience with this dealership
I will try and contact the Oregon State attorney general’s office to file a bad business practice complain and see what options I have to sue them for breach of contract and causing personal stress and suffering.
I was reminded at the dealership, when I was buying the cars that Toyota will send me a survey…and to keep them in mind with positive comments. as of yet I have not received a survey form…, I guess I never will….I case I put my real true experience on it !!
the finance manager :devil( told me continually that it was all taken care of and there was nothing to worry about.
I “googled’ this dealership and found several similar complains. most have the same line in bad customer service experience.
Is Toyota doing enough to train their dealerships in good customer service ?
I could have bought 2 used cars, but the thought of dealing with a used car salesman and haggling over the price put me off.
I decided instead on new cars at a reputable dealership…. GOD was I wrong !!!!
I would love someone to contact me regarding this experience.
