I was offered to drive a used car for a day. When I arrived it was explained to me that someone else was interested in buying the same car. So I wasted my time waiting around over an hour until it was explained to me that the general manager’s neighbor (who was interested in buying the car) was vastly more important than me so they were given preferential treatment. No thanks! Not interested in this dealership any more. YOU ARE TREATED LIKE DIRT!!!! The offer also was very poor and the offer for my BMW in excellent condition was extremely low if the low mileage was considered and the Kelly Blue Book/NADA values were used. Gee, I didn’t know that even they value their own product so poorly! I think I’ll be buying a better quality product with much higher reliability quite soon – from someone else!! I live in a Country Club area so you bet the whole club will soon hear about this one!!
On 1/13/2010 went to the sales department in order to purchase a new SAV. Took an SAV for a test drive, a 2009 X5. After the test drive got a price for my SAV as a trade in plus a price for the new vehicle. The sticker price for the new vehicle was $73,620. The sales price for the new vehicle given to me on 1/13/2010 was $69,620.00. I was then given a price of $19000.00 for my trade in. They wanted me to sign a document right away agreeing to these prices. I told the sales person that I would think about it overnight.
Upon my arrival at my residence, I checked the prices online for the new vehicles at Gebhardt BMW. To my surprise, the vehicle that I took for a test drive and was given
a price of $69620.00 was listed for $59,999.00 plus an additional discount of $200.00 if you took it for a test drive. A difference of $9821. for the dealership.
When I called the sales person, Thom Stephanchick the next morning, he stated that some mistakes were made by the Sales Manager and offered the vehicle to us for $59999. but instead of getting $19,000. for a trade-in, he only offered $15,000.00 No excuses were given and no call from the Sales Manager were made or received.
This I call DECEIVING SALES PRACTICES and SALES FRAUD.
It was an embarrasement doing business with this dealership. Considering that the vehicle I was trading in was bought from them and I was a repeat customer.
