Very dishonest place, completely ripped me off, i spent $30,000 on a used mercedes, when i test drove with sales guy Rob morton, the AC could not turn on, he said its something minor and they will get it fixed right away, i should not trust him but i did, after paper work i went to him and confirmed with him that AC was fixed he said YES, but the AC has the same problem and shuts it self before i even get home, then the car wont start everytime and will stall while driving, i caused couple major traffic jams in the city because the car just stalled and wont start, contacted the dealer they sent it to mercedes in town for me and i paid the dignose fee, then received a $11,000 repair bill, just spent $30,000 and the car did not make it through even the first day, talked with all the managers and none of them wants to talk about it.They knew the car has serious problem and the very dishonest sales guy Rob morton lied to me, he said “go ahead and finish up with the finance manager and i will get the car fixed right away” when we discovered the AC issue, i was so nice did not ask any lower than the listing price and made it easy on everything for him, i am 23 years old and just started my own business, now i am stuck with a big piece of shit that dont run. talked with all the managers and none of them wants to talk about it.
I chose to purchase a NEW car from this dealership since it apeared my sales guy was on the up and up. Boy was I wrong.
We noticed blemishes in the paint on the hood and trunk. they tried to buff out and pass off as if ok. finally made an appointment for them to fix at the body shop. There were also a few other issues. (interior leather not clean, cover not sitting right). I showed up and they had no clue why i was there. Then they had my car for 11 days, and there were still issues. they wanted me to take it as is, instead of them holding to fix. said i had the loaner too long (i agreed, 11 days for them to have my car was way to long. but it shouldn’t have taken them that long to fix)
the would not allow me to keep loaner and now refuse to stand by their product.
I do NOT suggest going to this dealership for sales or service.
I have owned 7 vehicles now at the age of 25 and this was by FAR the worst experience ever!!! Stay away from this place. I bought my truck and drove around with temp tag for 4 months. That is actually 4 seperate temp tags because they messed stuff up in paperwork. I was also driving around without valid inspection because you need a registration! This dealer should be shut down. I was treated like dog dirt when I had to keep calling back to track my paperwork down. Once that truck rolled off their lot they pretty much told me to F-off… I would call and leave messages and no one would return my calls. I had to keep calling and calling untill the douche was sitting in his office so he could actually answer the phone. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, dealer, take my advice and steer clear!
I will find every website I can to make this dealer pay for my troubles!!!
I was assured by e-mail and in person that that the used car I purchased had “no problems”. The car was “certified”. After I had driven the car for less than 400 miles, I took the car for PA inspection and because the cruise control did not work. It was within a matter of minutes that my mechanic discovered a leaking CV boot, a faulty inhibitor switch (causing the check engine light to remain on) and rear brakes so badly worn that the rotors were also destroyed. The limited warranty only covered the repair of the CV boot. When I called the dealership, the service department informed it that it is actually the salespeople who “certifies” the cars! I was put on hold, then informed a salesperson would contact me within 1/2 hour. Of course I was not contacted and the brakes, cruise control and inhibitor switch must be repaired at my expense. Buyer beware!
]This is not a bogus story from a competitor to this dealer. I’ve waited roughly 25 days after my experience to write this review.
On April 5, I went to buy a car to Baker Chrysler Jeep dealer, in Princeton, New Jersey. I had chosen the dealer and the car through the Chrysler website and I specially selected this dealer because of the Five Star Chrysler designation, the highest recognition that Chrysler can award a retailer.
That day, I agreed on the purchase price with the sales representative and the manager, and I made an initial payment to ensure the price and agreed to pay off the balance on Monday, April 8.
To such effects on Monday 8, I went to the dealer. The sales representative received me at his desk and handed the sales contract over to me. I checked the numbers and noticed that, at the end of the sales contract there were some charges without justification and not backed by any documentation, which amounted to 7% of the purchase price. I expressed my concerns to the sales representative and told him that I thought that the charges were inappropriate because they were very high, had not been mentioned before and were not supported by any documentation. All this conversation was held until that moment normally, exchanging my opinions with the sales representative.
Unexpectedly, an unknown man, totally furious, burst in on the place where we were seated, snatched away the sales contract and broke it in my face, screaming at me that the sale was over. I was stunned. Immediately that same person, still yelling, ordered me to get out of his store right away, without giving me any explanation for his behavior. I asked him if he was the owner and he said that he was.
As I noticed he was totally furious and in order to avoid a worse situation, I judged prudent to leave.
Took me two visits to the dealership to recover my money.
I complained to Chrysler customer service, but the “service” is only an automatic answering machine.
Baker, “the deal breaker”.
Never do any business with Baker Chrysler Jeep Dodge in Princeton, New Jersey. Never do any business with Chrysler, Jeep or Dodge.
Chrysler Five Star, it’s a bad joke!!!
If you set foot in this place, you can’t say you weren’t warned.
