Bought a 2007 Saab Aero from Augie via the internet. They matched the best price I found on the internet. Competitive pricing on Saab Certification. The vehicle was in the condition they promised – immaculate. They picked me and my family from the airport. Everything was in order and ready to go. I was in and out of the dealership within an hour with most of the time spent on the test drive. Very good experience. Very professional. We drove it home to Dallas without any problems.
I was treated pretty well by the salesperson but I think it’s just a trick to get you to the finance table where they really get you. It was late and I wanted to just go home and come back another day to finish the deal. They pressured me into staying. They were already closed and my wife and I were pretty tired. That’s also how you end up spending money on things you normally wouldn’t get. They got us to purchase the GAP One insurance and a Xzilon package. Sounded good at the time. When I got home and did some research, I realized GAP is a waste of money and more expensive through the dealership. I also realized that the Xzilon package ($600) was a cheap clearcoat. So I changed my mind and requested a refund. Apparently, I can’t get MY money back for products that were never applied to my car. I had a hard time getting my GAP one insurance refunded even though it clearly states that I am allowed a full refund within 30 days on the contract. I had to go through the State Attorney’s office of Consumer Protection for this refund and they’re still trying to keep my money for a scam product that was never applied to my car.
They’re heartless crooks. They pull you in with their low internet prices . Lesson learned…when it sounds good cheap to be true it’s probably a scam dealership. Go to carmax.
