Do not leave anything in your car when you bring it in.
They stole my sunglasses and I said something to them but they said they have no reason too. that is crap so when i bring my car in i have to empty it out in to a bag and bring it with then put it back.
BUYER BEWARE! Woodfield Nissan gives Nissan a bad name … they wasted my time, don’t let them waste yours. I bought (leased) a new 2012 Maxima tonight FROM A DIFFERENT DEALERSHIP after leaving Woodfield Nissan feeling disrespected and aggravated. Here’s my advice; I’m hoping you can benefit from my negative experience: Disregard anything they tell you over the phone; they will make you come in before giving firm pricing and will then give you a quote higher than ALL other estimates you received, despite telling you on the phone that they will beat the other quotes you received and that they (supposedly) are the highest volume Nissan dealer in the Midwest. I can’t imagine how that could be possible, with their deceptive practices and crappy attitudes. Go elsewhere!
Conversely, I had a WONDERFUL buying/leasing experience at M’Lady Nissan in Crystal Lake tonight. Severo was my salesperson, and he was honest, friendly & knowledgeable (and gave me a great/fair deal). I will go to M’Lady (and Severo, in particular) when I am ready to get into my next new Nissan.
AVOID WOODFIELD NISSAN AT ALL COSTS, unless you want to waste your time and put up with a dishonest, condescending sales manager, that is. (The salesperson, Anthony, was friendly enough and I don’t blame him for the poor business practices of this dealership/its sales manager named Mike or Bob, maybe? Hard to recall his name since I left within 3 minutes of meeting him); before leaving, I suggested that the salesman find a job at a reputable dealership instead of having an offensive sales manager ruin his chances of being successful.
check you paperwork, they add stuff.
The old bait and switch…and not very good I might add. Being in sales, I am always skeptical of car sales guys but this group is a bunch of rank amateurs. Spoke with Lori, got quotes, told her I would be in around noon. Showed up at 11:55am and Justin, Anthony and a couple of owled eyed salesmen come literally out of the woodwork. I am told Lori is not in…I tell them I will come back. I am told Lori is five minutes away and they have my paperwork and want me to go out and look at the two cars I had asked to look at. I said I would come back and deal with Lori. Next is a bunch of hustling, terror in the eyes because we have been caught red handed looks and I walk out of the dealership and I can assure you I will never deal with these peeps again. First, they are amateurs, second they are DISHONEST and finally they are DISHONEST! By the way, just completed the sale of the new mini van for my wife…a Honda Odyssey (you might have heard about them) and I am now in negociations with Lexus for any upgrade (you might have heard about them). I have been busy in two hours. Finally, to the McGrath family here is a thought…hire some honest sales people to try and rebuild the reputation of this dealership and NISSAN USA get rid of the McGrath’s if they do not make changes…and do have a good day!
Woodfield Nissan has the worst service bar none I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Bought a certified pre owned Murano on November, with the promise of fixing some chips in the paint, said they would call. About 3 weeks go buy so I pull out the paper work and low and behold the agreement is void after 30 days. So I call them and finally get an appointment scheduled. Take the car in on a Friday. They ask if there are any other issues, I tell them something isn’t right about the drivers door. They take car about 1hr later they come out and tell me something is broken inside the door and they will have to order parts and that their is a recall on the TPMS ( really thought the car was certified?) So they decide to fix the recall and not do the touch up until the part for the door comes in. Fine I can accept that. A week passes and I call them ask for a status, guy say he will check and call me right back – nothing. Another week pass’s, I call again same run around guy things the part is back ordered and will call me right back – nothing. Another week passes. I call them again, can’t find the status of the parts because computer isn’t working will call me back- nothing. During this time I notice the front drivers side tire is loosing air. Call them for status of other parts and to inform them of the tire issue – you guessed it we’ll call you back and no call back. So I’ve had about enough of these guys so I take car over to another Nissan dealer to look at the tire – they tell me the TPMS is faulty and needs to be replaced. But it gets better I bought an extended Nissan warranty, but the dealer I go to can find no trace of said warranty in the Nissan system. So he waves the diag fee and tells me that I will have to get Woodfield to fix the issue unless I want to shell out over $270 + labor. So I call them again to find out status of parts etc. Once again no ones knows anything and will call me Tuesday geee its Tuesday and guess what no one has called. This is the 3rd vehicle I have purchased from Woodfield Nissan and it will most definitely be the last. The incompetence of their service department is unsurpassed.
Talked to Lori, she assured me vehicle I wanted was available for advertised price. Told her I was victim of a supposed misprint from them before, she assured me the Armada I wanted was available at the discount listed in the ad several times. I talked to her for about 20 minutes, repeatedly asking about the truck, even giving her their stock number from their website. We had to arrange for someone to watch my youngest daughter, then drove 30 minutes to their dealership the next day. When we got there Lori assigned us a salesman, he hemmed and hawed, then qouted us a price that was $6,000 higher than the price Lori had confirmed the day before. When she finally came to talk to us, first she said we misunderstood her, when I pointed out that I had specifically asked about the vehicle in question, she then stated she was mis-informed about the sales promotion in the ad. When I asked her which vehicle was for sale at the discount in the ad, she named a vehicle that they didn’t have in stock any longer. Her “Rock-Bottom” can’t go any lower price, was higher than prices I’ve gotten from other dealers in the area. Monday I am calling the Ill state attorney general’s office, Nissan customer relations, and the BBB. Stay away from this dealership.
I called and talked to Lori, the “Internet sales manager”, I asked about an ad in the Tribune, quoting 25% off MSRP on select models. I even gave her the stock number from their website. She assured me that the vehicle I wanted was covered by the promotion. I asked her about it several times because of an incident in the past where I drove there for a car at an advertised price, then was told after arriving that it was a misprint (I should learn, there’s a pattern here).I talked to her for about 20 minutes, being repeatedly assured that the vehicle was available, and subject to the discount. After making arraingments for my youngest daughter, my wife and I drove down to the dealership, about 30 minutes. When we arrived, Lori assigned us a salesman, after a short test drive, he stalled for about 45 minutes then told us that the vehicle we wanted didn’t qualify for the discount from the ad. Then he quoted us a price that was $6,000 higher than the discounted price. When I inquired which vehicles qualified, he said something about an off-road package Titan, which I was unable to find on their website when I returned home. After waiting another 20 minutes to talk to Lori, she came in and first accused us of misunderstanding her, then when I pointed out that I had given her their stock number, and she had repeatedly assured me that it qualified, she said she misunderstood the ad program. I hate being lied to, which is pretty much what they did, plus it was a huge waste of about three hours total. Avoid this place like the plague.
Over the last year service has gone from average to unbearable. The following are the reason I am never going to buy Nissan again. Last year I changed the oxygen sensor on my Altima and car started shaking. When I went back I was told that nothing was wrong, then couple of months later my car didn’t pass the emission control. I came back to service department and they took car in for 2 hours, and came back saying there was nothing wrong. Magically, the next day my car passed the emission control … and my car stopped shaking. So, I forgave them as long as they fixed the problem. A couple of months ago my brakes started pulsating, so the rotors were cut. However, the vibration continued, so drums were cut too, but never tightened up so my car could barely stop. I came back for the third time and they tightened the rear brakes. After that my brakes started making grinding noise before the car stopped. So I took it to the service depart on Saturday afternoon and Jay Brandt told me that the technician who did the work is not here and so no one else is going to check my brakes for free!!! And that I should come back next week. So, I pushed on him and he drove the car, looked at the brakes and told me that he heard the noise but this is 100% not the brakes and he is not sure what is the problem. He told me to leave the car for a couple days, but I didn’t trust him at this point. I took the car to Arlighton Nissan on Monday and they told me that drums were badly cut and above all the wheel (“slave”) cylinder was leaking for a long time. What kind of technician do they have at Woodfield Nissan that could not see the leaking cylinder and badly cut drums!!! So, I ended up replacing the cylinder, cutting the drums again and replacing the brake shoes. When I came to the service department asking for reimbursement for the expenses, service director Guy Di Leo yelled at me and told me that he won’t pay a penny. Don’t go this dealership, they are liars and they would easily endanger your life. They choose the technician for your and even if he is bad … you are stuck with that technician for life. Another thing, they don’t fix the real problem, instead they push you service like brake fluid flush?!
The Chicago Tribune, Sunday Paper June 13th 2010 has a huge advert for a Nissan Sentra at Wood Field Nissan that never was. I drove to the dealer and I told the sales gentleman to show me the car on the newspaper ad. He did not even look at it. He simply said that car was sold already. I went inside and asked for the manager. The sales person seated infront asked me what I needed and I showed him the newspaper and he immediately told me that 2010 Nissan Sentra had 50 K miles and is not there any more. I asked him how do you have a 2010 with 50 K? I knew I lost my time, tolls that I paid and I simply left. I will not even buy a Nissan this time. WoodField Nissan you lost a customer, you lost trust, and I lost my time and money. Please do a better job than that. I hope you do.https://cardealercheck.com/forum/images/icons/icon9.gifhttps://cardealercheck.com/forum/images/icons/icon9.gifhttps://cardealercheck.com/forum/images/icons/icon8.gif
The salespeople at this dealership, including the manager of sales, are dishonest, uncaring and don’t follow through on their promises. My son, in his 20s, was about to buy his first used car (2002 Mustang). He test drove the car before anyone else, and had been promised that they’d save the car while he waited 2 business days to get money out of an account. If they couldn’t save the car, they should have told him, but they lied to him. In the meantime, they sold it from under his nose without even a call to him. They didn’t care about their customers…only about their greediness. Avoid this dealership. There are many others.
You need to put money down to hold anything, that’s the standard for anything you buy. They should have mentioned it if they didn’t.
From the first time I walked in to Woodfield Nissan to the 4th time when we finally bought the used Nissan Quest, we were treated with respect.
The first time I went in and told Latch my price and goals. He showed me the four used Quests that the dealership had along with another dodge minivan that met my requirements. He let me test drive all of them, shared his knowledge, and gave me quotes on all four on paper for me to take. No BS. Unlike other dealers i visited the next couple of days, there was never any “how much can you afford or what do you think it is”…..The next couple of days, my wife and I went to multiple other dealerships including Carmax, Toyota, and other Nissan dealers searching for options and comparables. We went back multiple times to Latch and Woodfield Nissan (once with my father-in-law, who also liked Latch) and Latch was very patient with us, not being pushy – ever. Remember, I had been there at least once everyday for 3 days, once with my two young kids, a few times with my wife and in the end with my father-in-law! Wouldn’t you get sick of me?
In the end, three days later, Woodfield Nissan came down in price a lot, they took our older problematic trade in, we paid cash and got the deal done. We walked out happy and they got a satisfied customer who will recommend them to many people (as well as a father-in-law who might look them up again in the future!) I might even return in the near future when our 2005 Altima is ready for an upgrade 🙂
I would recommend Woodfield Nissan and Latch any day of the week. Be straight forward, know what you can work with in terms of $, show respect and I am sure they will treat you with respect as well. That was our experience. Hopefully that will be yours as well.
Thank you Latch and Woodfield Nissan!

horrible, the salesman was a liar and deceptive, and as you go up the chain of managers it gets worse and worse,
my mom and i bought i used car from mirro, we told him the situation we were in: i have no credit i just turned 18, my mom is a single parent with no help from my dad, she has too much credit and even if we could get alone we cant really afford the payment, so she took money out of a retirement acount to purchase the car outright, we just needed a car that could get me through June until i leave for basic training with the National Guard, Mirro said that this was a car that would do that, i know enought about cars to see anything jumping out that was obvously wrong, well the alternater is putting out too much power and blew the battery, i called and told them what was wrong an asked what they could due to help, i was told nothing, they wanted $110 just to LOOK at the car, well i know what the heck is wrong with the car i need it fixed and as i have not had the car for TEN days i thought it should be done for free, they disagree, i asked to speak to a manager, i was told they all left at 5, at 840 i called after i got the car battery changed acting like i was interested in buying a car, well not only was a manager there now but they were gona stay open later for me too!, well i then told him why i was really calling and i had been trying to get ahold of him, he began to yell and become very rude, i told him he needed to reslove this tonight or tomorrow or i would be contacting the BBB, he says “good, you go ahead and call them”, so i did, and went online and filed a complaint, and found out that 37 other people have as well, im waiting for them to contact me today, this is the third review i have posted on this dealership, im going to continue until te word is out, DONT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!!!!!
they sold me a extended warranty for about $1000.00 and because all process to buy a car took lots of time, they made us confused and the end just sign this and that , lots of things were wrong with the car and then after i got my first bill i realized they sold me this stupid warranty, its been 6 months calling them to cancel it , one day the person is not there. other day you have to be here to cancel. vacation…….. the car i purchased was totaled 4 months ago and they just canceled my warranty recently and guess what.they gonna pay me $300. instead. for something I never wanted
bunch of liers and cheaters working there. shame to be at a big dealership with this kind of people . thats a shame for nissan.
I would never patronize this dealership. I called last week and spoke to a salesman name Abraham. I tod Abraham I was calling on behalf of my son and I asked if they had a selection of Nissan Versas which had been advertized on the radio that day. Abraham told me they had plenty of them and I told him I would send my son up to see him.
Two days later my son drove to Woodfield Nissan and asked for Abraham. He told him that I had called and that he would like to look at the Versa. Abraham said they did not have any. My son told him he had talked to me two days earlier. He told my son that he had never talked to anyone about the Versa. What did he think I just made up his name.
Do not deal with this bait and switch operation.
I just purchased my second car from Woodfield Nissan and it was a great experience. They had a huge selection and the dealership was beautiful. Not like some other scummy dealers. I did shop around a little but I felt like I just wasted my time when I did that because I still ended up at Woodfield, just like I thought that I would. Their selection and service and pricing is simply just better than everyone else. I would reccommend Woodfield Nissan.
This Schaumburg Woodfield Nissan (Higgins & Golf Rd) car dealership in IL is running by the criminals. They have no shame even you tell them straight in their faces that they are unethical. For worst dealership in the state of IL, this is it. Stay away from this place.
My problem started after I received my loan statement from the bank which they picked to financed my loan for me even though my preference is with Nissan Motor Finance. The issue is that they attached $2000 security plus coverage to my loan after the finance was signed and done. Only a criminal would do that. When I found this out I went to this dealer immediately to cancel. I was told to come back next Monday because I have no appointment to meet the finance guy even though he was there in his office pretending to be busy. His name is Jerry. So I came back, signed and dated the cancellation doc and they said they will send it to Nissan. Almost two months later Nissan claimed this dealer never sent it in. I asked Nissan-1 directly to cancel but they won’t cancel because it is their policy not to cancel over the phone. What? Go figure why they do that! Obviously to make it impossible for customer to cancel it. They made me call dealer to follow up. Now you can see their ploy. Each tell me to call another. It was like this every week for a month. I called this dealer to get confirmation if they ever sent it in. I was told the guy is not in the office. Obviously Nissan and their dealers are running by the criminals. State of IL wont shut this place down because they are also running by criminals. These criminals bring so much dollars into their pension coffers so they are supporting each other like leeches.
Today Nissan-1 told me to go to the dealer again, get the form signed, and send it in myself certified. I will have to do that. I am letting every one know this dealer is unscrupulous and they are not afraid to forge document to add dollars into their pockets.
I spent over 50K for a truck. This is the biggest mistake I ever made in my life. Instead of enjoy this it causes me much headache and anger. I regret that I bought a Nissan car from this dealer.
If you are still think of buying a Nissan car do not ever set foot on this dealer lot. They are shameless unethical people who prowl there. At the end of the day how can they feed their kids with that money they earned by cheating people?
I got a car back in May 5th and after nearly 2 months there is no indication of any paper work for the title sent to the Secretary of State from WoodField Nissan. They said that it is illegal to sell a car without the title ( especially that I paid cash in full ). State Police wants me to file a claim which I am doing right now with all the paperwork.. What WoodField Nissan did is so unprofessional and you will find this review at every possible website about Woodfield Nissan Dealer.
The car was told to be a one-owner car which turned out to have 2 previous owners.
They sold the car without the floor-mats, Their so-called 100 point inspection couldn’t find that the car is missing oil. Even though there is no oil leak, the lamp came up the next day saying that the oil level is very low. Two of the tires were losing air slowly which I had to have it fixed.. The traction control does not work and lamp keeps coming up.
Even though I was not financing, the purchase at the Finance Manager Dennis Reilly’s office took 2 hours.
After two months and many unanswered phone calls to Peggy ( Title Person ) I am finally told that it may take another 3-4 weeks which no one guarantees.
Brought it in for a tire pressure light. 18 months ago I brought it in and had the tires filled with nitrogen (with free lifetime refills). When they did this, they installed metal caps on the valves. Well, I got a call from them saying that the caps were now frozen on and they might break the stems if they tried to remove them. The cost would be $107 for the sensor and $110 in labor per tire ($217 per tire) if they did break the stem when they tried to remove the caps. Reminder — these are the same caps that they installed! I told them to leave them as-is. My wife picked up the car later that day. Looked at it the following day and they BROKE 3 of the valve stems!!! Of course, this was christmas eve and they are closed. 2 days later, I have a flat tire! I currently have a call into Nissan Corporate to take care of this issue. I cannot believe they sent a car out the door with broken valve stems. Crazy!
Woodfield Nissan has been consistently underperforming (significantly) in customer service and quality of repairs in the last 3 years or more.
I have been their customer since 2002 and have been extremely satisfied with them for the first couple of years. Then it all changed; the personnel became rude, inattentive to service concerns, and arrogant (including manager(s)). The quality of repairs declined substantially. Here are some hard facts:
*I had my alternator changed, and when i got the car back the radiator hoses were not attached, the radiator mounting bolts were missing (i drobve the car like this for about a week)?? When complained they said that they could not verify what I was saying…
*They always spill oil all over the engine at each oil change…
*I had my car left for minor body work ( scratch on the door and fender)and asked for a quote to repair the damage. The price i was given was ok, so i asked the person who hit me to reimburse me for this amount (650 0r so), and left the car for repairs. Some time later i got a call to get my car and for my astonishment the damage was not repaired. I asked the service rep. why so and he directed me to the body shop technician for more answers. The body shop person literally cursed at me and asked me if i was “crazy” to expect any repairs for “only” 650. I was told that for this amount what they do is to polish the damage and put a clear coat on. The manager second the body shop guy and stood behind his uncalled for arrogance. I was told that the service procedure was explained in the invoice ant that is what i paid for. I still am trying to figure out who put this moron for a manager… I tried to explain that i asked for a quote to repair the damage and that if they suggested that the invoice described steps would be what is necessary to fix the problem that is what i paid for. Also i explained to the moronic manager that the money would have not been an issue before i got my reimbursement. However i was sent away with buffed up car for $650.00.
*And the latest arrogance was when i was denied a PREPAID oil change, because my PREPAID oil changes have expired… WOW … This is a first …
I would not recommend their services for the reasons listed above. Also those incidents, which i described seem to be the norm and not some occassional misshap.
The car i service with them is Nissan Sentra 2002.
