We applied for Ford Credit online. Charlie/Chuck said he couldn’t tell us over the phone if we were approved for the 0% for 60 month financing because of privacy. So we drove and met him.
His greeting entailed walking out towards us talking on his cell phones to one of his friends while he tried to shake our hands. I did not shake his hand while he was on the phone so I waited for him to tell his buddy he had to go because he had some customers.
Then the real fun begins. He showed us a Ford Escape with leather seats. I said I did not want leather seats, I wanted cloth. He said it did not have leather seats, but it clearly did. I said those seats are very shiny, they sure look like leather. I finally convinced him that the seats were leather.
When we chose the SUV we wanted to look at, the battery was dead. He said this was normal and yelled at a teenager to get a battery pack.
When we talked financing, he told us we were approved for O% for 60 months. I also had a trade-in. I previously ran the numbers on the payment estimator on Ford.com website, and came up with $289 a month. Charlie asked us how much of a payment we wanted. He kept avoiding the actual price. Instead, he would show us the brand new 2012 cars. I think he was trying to confuse us. He would still not tell us how much the car was. He kept saying “One + One is Two.” We told him we wanted our payments between $270-285 dollars a month, knowing the quote on the Ford Website. He said no way for less than $400 a month. I said I ran the numbers on the website. He told me the website was a lie. I said “The Ford website is a lie?” He said you are not going to walk out of here paying less than $400 a month. Then he said “Thanks for not wasting my time” and we got the hell out of there.
This place and this salesperson felt wrong the moment he walked towards us. If it doesn’t feel right, don’t do it. He made it seem like we were bothering him. I was so excited to be pre-approved and buying a new car. I left mad and wanting to keep my car that I already have paid for. Best of luck, Jake
This is the worst dealership in NWI. The salesman low balled me on a price so I would come in and buy. When I got there the sales man acted dumb and then he came back with a price that was 4 thousand more. I told them it was no big deal and that I would just go to a different dealership and buy. The salesman not wanting me to leave went and told the owner of the dealership this BUM came out and started cursing at me and my wife and wanted to fight. What a joke. Dont shop here!I hope you go out of buisness, I will do my best to make sure no one I know ever shops here again. Joke!
