the salesman was not the issue at this place. its the slimy typical car finance guys and management lying through their teeth.Go anywhere but this place
First time customer for an oil change . Made app for 3:45pm 5/23/2011 got there a couple minutes early was told to wait in lounge and by did i lounge me and my son waited 2hrs for an OIL CHANGE was done after 1 and 45 min i asked one of the guys if it normally took over and hour and a half and replied ” around here? yea that sounds about right”
needles to say the wait was way to long for an OIL CHANGE. If you plan on service from this place i suggest you get the vehicle dropped off and have them call you when it is done .
and when i asked the cost BEFORE any service was done he told me right a t 35.00 and the total came to over 37.00 i no it was only a couple of dollars more but after waiting 2hrs for an OIL CHANGE that was the icing on the cake . AHGGGG:mad:
I bought a new truck from Van Chevrolet today and it was a surprising experience. I dread buying a new car as it usually takes most of a day before all the paperwork gets done and I can drive my new car. Not today! It was incredible! I called the dealership yesterday and worked with Travis on the phone. No pressure at all to come in, even though he made it clear he wanted me to. I got there as they opened. There were quite a few shoppers there already but, I had an appointment and was greeted immediately by my salesman, Brent. Brent was awesome! He knew about my appointment and led me right to my truck. As soon as I drove it, I knew I wanted it. Then came the scary part – the price. It took 10 minutes to get to a price which actually was lower than the other prices I found at Superior and CableDamer. No pressure at Van. Superior pissed me off and I just didn’t get a good feeling from CableDamer. The loan department took about 1 hour but, I still drove off the lot in almost exactly 2 hours! This was the best car buying experience I’ve ever had! I definitely recommend these guys and will buy from them again. And, my first service will be free!:)
Terrible Experience here! We have actually purchased a used truck from this dealership once before several years ago and I do not recall having any issues with them. Recently, my husband and I went on the hunt for a different truck for him. I had used the website Truecar.com to do some research on a new truck and Van Chevrolet contacted me after getting my information from it. We were told they would be able to do an “in and out” trade for our current truck (for a $199 processing fee) since we already had a buyer and we informed him of our situation (that being the buyer was out of state for work at the moment and would be back in a couple of weeks), which they said was fine, and they could work out financing for him if needed as well. Fast forward to what they ACTUALLY were willing to do to “help” us out… They couldn’t do and financing because the cost of the truck wasn’t enough (under $7000), they couldn’t hold the truck for our buyer for any more than 1 week.
They offered to let us take the truck we were looking at for 1 day, which we only drove to and from the dealership. When we looked around we found another truck we like better at another dealer. We took the truck back the next day and suddenly they were able to offer us $2500 for our truck, then 2 minutes after the salesman offered us that, the used car manager walked out and offered us $3000. AMAZING how the trade-in value went up in 24 hours!! Needless to say we told them no, and went to the other dealership. We had THE most FANTASTIC buying experience at Westfall GMC, I will definitely buy from them again. Great salesman, with absolutely no pressure whatsoever. They did exactly what they said the would when the said they would AND got us financed 6% (YES 6!!!) less interest rate than what Van offered us!!! In summary, I would not suggest even driving on their lot, unless you enjoy being preyed upon like a vulture.
