My husband and I recently bought a used car from Towbin Dodge. While the car is great and we are happy w/ it, we are less than impressed w/ the salesperson, Lloyd. He was very abrasive, curt, and seemed like he was being bothered – never mind that he was making a commission from the car sale. When we asked to NOT work w/ him, to work with somebody, anybody else, we were told we still had to. It is disappointing that even w/ multiple complaints on several days that we still had to interact w/ Lloyd when it was clear that for whatever reason, he has a chip on his shoulder. When we came back a week later to get information on a replacement key, he was downright confrontational and defensive – before we had even finished describing our concern. He was already shaking his head, and making an assumption – before hearing the whole story. Finally, I called Lloyd the day after I bought the car and let him know I had left my wedding cd in our trade-in. He told me on the phone and via email that he would check the car first thing the next morning and get back to me. He never did. Towbin Dodge needs to seriously think about who is representing them – b/c someone like Lloyd will definitely do more harm than good. The only time Lloyd was remotely friendly or personable was the day I came to drop off the check to purchase the car. Anytime before or that he was not pleasant to interact with.
On the positive side, Rod, one of the internet managers and Rick in the service department where a breath of fresh air compared to Lloyd. Unfortunately, their positive qualities were not enough to overcome Lloyd’s negative attitude. We wish that our multiple requests to NOT work w/ Lloyd had been honored – that would have changed the entire experience.
I have credit in the high 700’s but for some reason, Sunny hooked me up with a 9.5 APR!? For those of you who don’t know if that’s good or bad, that’s bad! If you’re dealing with Sunny and the Towbin Dealership, take my advice and run! Unless you enjoy being ripped off; enjoy waiting 8 hours for service repairs to be done; enjoy being lied to; enjoy paying for things you don’t need; and enjoy not having the repairs done that you scheduled them to do in the first place, don’t waste your time and money on these low life ripoffs. They don’t give a damn about you! Funny how a year after making the worse decision in life to deal with Towbin, I went to a Toyota sales establishment and got a really nice SUV for 4.5 APR. Toyota and other LV dealerships=Happiness Towbin=Disappointment
HORRIBLE! They did not even go with the financial instution that I said that I required for purchase. Also they charged me over 3000K$ for my so called extended warranty. I brought the car into service and nothing was covered under warranty. RIP OFF!!! I was also sold a car with pending problems that were not covered under warranty. Horrible service. Nothing good came out of this purchase. NEVER buy from this auto dealer. Worst ever
I bought a vehicle from the blue genie that i had seen on one of the their late night infomercials. It is a 2004 Dodge ram that i bought for $6,999. As I walked in to the dealership i mentioned that i was looking for that specific truck and wasn’t forced to buy anything else and wasn’t messed with at all. I was shown the truck, took it for a spin, did the paper work and was on my way. It was an easy and pleasant experience and will definitley consider to purchase from Towbin again.
This has to be a review by an employee of two in dodge I have had the worst experience of my life there TWICE and never saw the so called “blue genie” selling cars. There was an Indian dude there “named” blu and he was a nightmare
I agree. Probably one of their sales people with nothing to do on the lot. So they put him to work on the puter trying to repair their image. They think we stooopet!
This was, by far, the absolute worst experience of my life! Not only were we at the dealership for NINE hours (literally), but at one point when we tried to leave, two salesmen stood behind our car asking what they could do to earn our business! We felt like they were desperate for a sale & maybe they could work something good out for us, so we went back in and finished the transaction. We ended up purchasing the perfect vehicle for our family & were very happy at the end of the day. Two weeks later, I get a call saying that the financing wasn’t approved & we needed to return the car! WTF??? I thought the reason we were in the dealership for NINE HOURS was because they were getting the loan approved! In any event, I told them we had driven the car to California on vacation & weren’t going to be home for a week & they said just to come in when we got back. We get home & I check my email to find a letter threatening that if the car wasn’t returned that they would have it reposessed & any fees incurred, including legal fees, would come out of my down payment! So I return the car & I am told that they won’t have the $5000. down payment I gave them for 72 hours, after they inspect the car for any damage & excessive mileage. Of course there’s mileage on the car! We thought it was ours so we took it on our vacation! So here we are, waiting for our money back, hoping that they don’t dream up any damage & that we’ll get most of our money back (by the way, I was told that because of the mileage, they would be deducting $500. from the down payment for sure!!!) To make sure you heard me right, if you buy a car from Towbin & give them CASH down, they can call you two weeks later demanding the car back and STILL KEEP YOUR MONEY!!! Hmmm- If I was a crook I’d say I was in the wrong business!
This entire experience has been a NIGHTMARE to say the least! I wouldn’t recommend them to my worst enemy. They are crooked & an out right RIP OFF! So you still want my opinion on Towbin??? Hahaha- Better cover your kid’s ears because I have NOTHING nice to say!!!
