My wife and i just had our first child so we went to Nissan to try and find a safe sedan for our new family. After my wife looked at a few used Altimas, a salesman walked up, and introduced himself. He was very young so i didn’t expect our experience there to be very fulfilling… i was wrong. Rich was great. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and most importantly, fast. he brought us inside got a the jist of what we were trying to accomplish went got our car. it was an ’08 altima SL. the car was immaculate. my wife was quite taken with it and there price was more than reasonable(after a nice negotiation). than the manager Don came out to meet us. he was also very polite, he noticed that we also live by the shore and said he’d like to switch cars with us if we needed service instead of me or my wife taking an hour to drop off the car for an oil change. I was a little upset 3 days after i bought the car to hear that i had to go back to re sign a paper that the finance lady apparently lost. all in all, it wasnt that bad. rich, and don were very professional and fast. counting the fact that i had to resign a contract, i was still there at most an hour and a half.
I purchased a “Certified” used Xterra from Team Nissan 1.5 years ago as my first time buying a car (without anyone with me for support/advice) and have regretted it ever since. As soon as I finished the test drive (in which she directed me where I could / could not drive) and showed interest, I was immediately pressured by 3 people. I now am aware they pulled all the classic “tricks” on me- from taking the keys to my trade to “evaluate it” and not giving them back, to the “4-square” finance grid to get me to focus on the monthly payment instead of total price / trade value and using the “manager in the back” gig. Ultimately the final price of the car was about much higher than I was aiming for, which I can accept since it was my own fault for falling for their tactics; however the car itself has had problem after problem, despite the clean carfax report and being “Certified”. The car apparently had water damage found by my new mechanic (NOT at Team Nissan). This would explain why it didn’t have floor mats included and interior trim/molding was loose in some areas from re-upholstering process. Of course, none of which I noticed until weeks later. As a result, the car needs something fixed in order to run properly approximately every 6 weeks, and it only has 40,000 miles on it. While the certification includes a warranty so most things are covered (for now), the hassle of bringing my “new to me” car in so often and having it so unreliable is infuriating. I don’t even want to think about once the warranty expires… I attempted to call Team Nissan about this when I found out it had obvious water damage that they failed to disclose, and put on hold indefinitely, forwarded to voice mail, or mysteriously disconnected every time. I e-mailed the service department as well as Jenna herself and never received a response. I will never, ever do business with Team Nissan in Manchester again.
I would not give this dealership the time of day.. They scammed and deceived me and my father on a car purchase and I would warn anyone else to think twice. My father wanted to purchase his end-of-lease car to give to me and Team Nissan told him that he had to go through them to purchase. After the contract was signed, he was then told and confirmed by Nissan Corp that he could have bought the vehicle directly from them to avoid the dealer fees. I was charged over $500 in dealer fees. (they didn’t even clean the car)
I would love to thank Team Nissan for a great car buying experience! The relaxed atmosphere and excellent sales team provided me with the comfort I needed in purchasing my vehicle. My salesperson was very informative by showing me options on vehicles and prices as well as working with my budget. I did not feel rushed into making any quick decisions. I was impressed with knowledge of the salespeople. I’m looking forward to servicing my car at Team Nissan despite the 45 minute drive, especially with my new maintenance plan. One of the sales managers, Don saw that we both live in the same community. He offered to swap cars with me whenever I needed my first oil change.
The proud owner of an 10′ Altima Coupe
You must work for them, because everyone that I know would not deal with this car dealership.. They are deceivers!!!!
I just wanted to tell you about one of your salesmen working at your dealership. I came in to your Nissan dealership having already put a down payment on another car. I just wanted to make sure I was getting the best deal for my money. I cannot tell you enough about your salesman Andy. He showed me several cars and then I narrowed it down to the Altima. Pound for pound it was the best buy for the money. His professionalism was only outdone by his courtesy. It is not often that I encounter a sales man that you can feel comfortable with or take the time to write a letter to inform management about, but Andy is such a person.
I must also give kudos to your service department. There were a few issues with the new Altima, as there are with all new cars, but these were all addressed with lightning efficiency.
I must say that I could not be happier with my decision in purchasing the altima or my choice in dealerships. You will get my future business and recommendations!
Sincerely,
Charles Vidal
Watch out for bad faith negotaitions. When you tell them about a better price that you were given, they bad mouth the dealership (in my case it was Woodbury Nissan and they said they would add in other things at the end, including rebates you’re not eligible for as well as the destination charge). Well, Don and Scott did just that to me, after saying their price was the bottom line price before tax and tags. After going there a week ago and not making the deal, they followed up to see what they could do to get my business, since me being a loyal customer to their dealership was important to them. We both had the same figures, and I told them to come down another $800 and I would buy it. It was about 6 pm and they told me to come in that night to finalize it. I was there within an hour and they stalled me for 45 min to an hour, asking after 25 min or so to see my trade again. He came back in and asked if my car was in a flood (where did that come from??? they had already inspected the car and no, it was never in a flood…)
I asked if he was balking and he said no. when he finally came out, he did indeed have the number we agreed upon written down, then added tax, as well as the motor vehicle and doc fees, then get this,,,proceeded to add on the destination charge of $780, just as he said the other dealer would do! I reminded him that the destination charge is in the MSRP and he said it wasn’t. After confronting him again and saying he did what he warned me the other dealer would do, he admitted he needed to find a way to make some money on the car. He also showed me a profit sheet that they “normally don’t sohw customers” but he was showing to me to be up front and honest with me. Another joke, another lie, because I asked if it included the rebates they’d get, he said, yes – here’s where the $500 rebate is. I then asked him if it included the other rebates he previously said they’d get back from Nissan USA and he said no…So this porfit sheet showing a supposed loss was not accurate. I tried to wrok with him and said I’d pay that extra $780 if I got an extended warranty with it, and he said he’d have to check the next day. So my time was wasted and the deal was not finalized. Before I left thoiugh, he asked if I could give him a $200 check as a deposit so he could locate the exact car (color combination) I wanted since they didn’t have it on their lot. A little premature, son’t you think??? He was supposed to call the next morning, which he didn’t. i had to call him in the afternoon, and he said he was still checking some things out and would call back. When he did call back it was to sday he couldn’t make the deal. I told him they negotiated in bad faith and asked what happened to honesty, caring about his reputation and priding himself on customer satisfaction and loyalty. He aplogized and then proceeded to throw his colleague under the bus, saying he was new there and doesn’t do business like that (telling me to come in to finalize the deal, then change it up at the last minute) but didn’t want to step on toes since he’s new. Anyway, the bottom line – they are shady characters and negotiate in bad faith, after being nice to you, telling you how important it is to them to have loyal customers and the fact that they pride themselves on doing whatever it takes to keep that relationship. DON”T BELIEVE THEM AND DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.
I TOTALLY AGREE SINCE I WAS JUST SCAMMED AND DECEIVED.. Here is my original post:

When Inegotiated a price for my van, the dealer took out his calculator, calculatedthe pennsylvania tax and agreed that the final price would include the PAtax. Before signing the papers Iasked if the tax would included and was told that it was. When I finally got my title afterwaiting for two and a half weeks for them to release it, I went to get the vanregistered in PA. I was then told, that no taxes had been payed, and that there had been no need to get a $200title from team nissan in NJ. Mytotal fee was $890.52. Theauto tags worker told me that the dealership’s behavior was “ashame”. When I calledthem, I was spoken to aggressively and hung up on. The salesperson initially said that he remembered agreeingon including the tax, and then changed his story to say he never agreed on it,and then to say that he “thought” it was included. I unfortunately was duped into signingpapers where the tax said “N/A” which means that I am now out for thetax money and paying for a new title. These people are crooks. Ifyou go to them, be very careful to read the fine print.
