after having an agreed price on a car off i went to the finance office. ifound out by shear luck that they add several percent to the loan interest rate over what the bank wants and they pocket this money which in my case on the car i bought was an extra 35.00 a month for the life of the loan 72 months !! they gave me one percent back but wouldn’t budge on the other. these people are crooks ! demand to see the paper from the bank with your rate on it or they will screw you also. this amounts to a huge profit for them yearly. tell them dave told ya
After seeing several other dealers for various car types, I was given a range (four total)on my trade in allowance quoted all fell within $1000 dollars of each other – the Shults Ford finance guy quoted me approximately $7,000 dollars less than the lowest of the four, and they acted like it was reasonable!!! On the bright side, my salesperson was personable, and was really just the go-between on this deal between myself and the finance person. But it was just a waste of my time going there.
