I purchased 2009 Jeep wrangler form Sansone on 1/2014 I noticed transmission fluid leaking from auto and the cable for the 4 wheel drive snapped so I brought the auto in for service the auto was still under warrantee left the auto told them about the leak and cable was broken pick the jeep up the next day paid bill for $1336.90 fast forward 1/2015 notice transmission leak again so I look at my repair bill from 2014 broken cable for wheel drive was on it they did a lot preventive maintenance work, from lubing the axels to cleaning the injectors total of 8 charges now the four wheel drive cable was under warrantee best it no mention of the leak? I didn’t ask for all this work at the time I said leak and cable are fixed and I left it at that 1/2015 I bring the auto in I asked was the leak not on the bill? I took my jeep to mechanic and he said the one of transmission coolant lines was replaced and the other line should been replaced and the line that’s leaking was the one replaced they denied replacing any lines but said they would replace it well 3 weeks have gone by and nothing, the manager at jeep service is arrogant and a nasty individual I returned home and checked my paper work when I purchased my auto and noticed they sold me an Auto plus premier coverage repair for auto but Sansone never said anything about this like they are doing me a favor don’t buy a car from them they are a pack of thieves
This place is a complete scam all the way around. DO NOT BELIEVE ANYTHING THEY SAY. They tried to charge us all sorts of charges, $800 for cleaning, the car was only vacuumed and wiped down. Lifted the seats, NOT CLEANED. My 7 year old daughter could have done the same job only faster, it took them 3 hours. $1900.00 for a safety inspection, really isn’t it the dealers responsibility to make sure the vehicle they are selling is safe. $300.00 for FACTORY window etching, did I mention this was a used car.
I would tell ANYONE who is looking to buy a car, PLEASE GO ELSEWHERE, you will not be happy with this place. From the moment you start talking til the time you leave, this will not be a pleasant experience.
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS PLACE!
This place is horrible! Please stay away from them and don’t trust anything they say. They have hidden fees everywhere!! I started questioning them about some of the fees and they were going to charge me that they inspected the vehicle and cleaned it…not to mention some other ridiculous charges. STAY AWAY!
BUYER BEWARE!!! This place uses BAIT & SWITCH!
They advertise one price, try to tell you the price is higher and THEN they tack on ridiculus charges for cleaning, etching and safety inspection and document fees. Theses are all false charges that THEY Are responsible for those things and it is false advertising for them to try to put them on the buyer. We went to look at a car that was advertised as $14K with a coupon. They tried to give us a bill for $21K plus!
BUYER BEWARE!
Your cost is car, taxes, tags. Nothing else!
Sal was wonderful , quality time explaining details when I asked questions .Turn off was the General Manager , or otherwise known a BOSSES SON or a close relative . This particular person , used the F word several tims directly at SAL with me standing there. This degrading person yelled at SAL for his montly sales and for the amount of time he had spent on me and there was still no sale. After I listened to these direct insults int Sals face , I was totally turned off to a purchase . I became uncomfortable in showroom and before I left spoke to another person on the reason I was leaving and to tell the so called General Manager he was awful in is behavior . Of course I got know where with that complaint this salesperson that I unfortunately did not get name told me it was the Owners Relative and that this was the way IT IS. Are you kidding me ???????? My last words were tell that sale Manager no matter whom heis related to , if I were in his low class I would tell him the F word back . I wanted to speak to General Manager directly and was prevented from doing so by this second party salesperson . Meanwhile Sal was a gentlemen and I give him credit for his patience … It as disgusting experience…shameful…a family relative ….of owner…give me a break….I hope other people that have gone into that dealership have spoken up.
The “owners son” you are speaking of is Dean Sansone. And I have experienced similar experiences with them as you. They represent an online “special” price and then when you get there they tac on so many additional fees and such high financing rates it comes to what the car was before the “special”.
There was a fair bit of pressure, but not more than I would expect from a large used-car dealership, and we were in fact nearing the end of the month, which probably strengthened my bargaining position as well. Overall, the process was smooth and moved reasonably quickly. The two complaints I’d have are that at closing they tried to add a $300 charge for “window etching” but backed down quickly when we said we hadn’t authorized it (and were backed up by our salesman), and more seriously that they did not get us our plates and registration before the temporary plates expired. That meant we went several days unable to drive the car legally! I’d recommend them to others, but go in with eyes open and stay on them about the plates.
We did not finance, so no experience there.
This dealership (Sansone) was AWFUL!!!!!! I gave a deposit for a car on Wednesday and told them I was going to pick it up on Saturday. I received a call on Friday that they sold my car!! Erick (the manager) said he was “sorry”. Ha…really? I am in the middle of reporting them to BBB. That’s not how you treat your customers. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!!!
THANK YOU to all who provided reviews. I will look for my almost new car elsewhere. I was almost leaving to take the 45 min drive when i thought hmm lemme check them out 1st. most dealerships have a few ‘fake’ reviews they sneak in themselves which of course one should overlook & scrutinize to find the ‘real’ reviews. wow but i didnt even come across any ‘fakes’, just ALL BAD. so glad i didnt waste my time. I even printed out their $2500 scam coupon which reviewers mentioned. Got a call soon after asking when I’d be there since the coupon expires tomorrow (lol). I’m sure it always expires tomorrow. & to make sure i ask for eddie the mgr (lol again!). I hope they call back so i can tell them why i wouldn’t go there if they paid me. I’ll try giving someone else $15,000. If you read this Sansone, maybe you’ll come to your senses & realize that your sleezy tactics are only getting you ‘cheap’ sales from people who didnt see thru what you did to them but found out soon after when it was too late (we always do). and the more friends & family that laugh at your customers, the more bad rep you get. I’d be shocked if you get any return customers unless their returning to fruitlessly beg you to take their mistake back. No worse feeling than when you’ve been taken for a ride. Thank God for the internet & decent people looking out for each other.
Went to this dealership after I bought my car. I was still under warranty and having problems with my air conditioning, it would only blow out hot air. I went to them and they told me it would not be covered and would cost over $1000 to replace and they would have to take apart my dash. The paper work they gave me stated that they did not observe the issue, after telling me they did and again quoting me a price for something they “did not observe”. Later I had someone I know take a look at it, because he does HVAC. Turns out one screw was loose that was very easy to access. If you do wind up buying a car here… please, go somewhere else for service.
The salesman was nice at first but not knowledgable kinda dumb. An refused to work on my deal unless i left a deposit, he stated he don’t work for free, well if ur a good saleman an u sell the car, u get something called a commission. So I refused the deposit so he refused to work on the sale….. Horrible way to treat a customer… Would never reccomend them…….
***FOLLOW UP***
STILL HAVE YET TO GET PLATES!!! Temp expired 07/01/12 & they say they will not give us a new temp!! My husband is at the dealership right now & they’re saying to call on Monday to see what they can do about it!! This is such bull!!! We bought the damn truck on a Saturday & got the temp on a Saturday so SOMEONE is OBVIOUSLY there who can give him another one!!!!! I CAN’T STAND THIS DEALERSHIP!!!!
Omg, I cannot stress how horrible this dealership is!! Financing took a month when it states in their paperwork that they only have 10 days. Took home a Jeep on 6/05/12 & JUST signed final paperwork on Tuesday, 6/26/12!!!! They milked us for a higher monthly payment then we originally signed for then today they call & tell us that we need to add a binder with our auto ins co naming the finance co as the lien holder!! Lien holders are on the title!!! I have NEVER heard of such a thing in my life & I’ve leased AND financed vehicles! If we do that then our ins premium is going to more than double & we can’t afford that!!! This place ass rapes you every which way that they can! I told my husband to bring the truck back. I love it but I am so done with this dealership!!!!
BEWARE!!!! STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP.
THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS AND WILL LIE TO YOU ABOUT EVERYTHING. NEVER EVER BUY FROM THEM
They lied to us about returning our vehicle and forged our signature on the contract. How slimy.I was warned about them but didn’t listen,We will see them in court and we are contacting the Attorney General for Fraud
Didnt buy a car here but thought I would try them for warranty service. My car had 1500 miles on it and my low brake fluid light came on so I made an appointment and came in. Three hours later they said it must have been low from the factory, they added some and I should be good to go. 1500 miles later the light came on again and I was low on fluid. I called and made a 7am appointment and confirmed a loaner car would be ready for me. I got there at 7am and no loaner car was available. They offered a shuttle that would drop me off a few miles from work or wait and I can pay for a rental on site at 8 when they open. After I told the service manager that’s not going to work he said that’s to bad I should have made a sat appointment. When I told him a month ago I was in for the same service he didn’t care called me a liar until I gave him the paperwork. I’ll never go back. I get their coupons in the mail all the time.
This dealership was the sleeziest Ive dealt with throughout my car search. I found a pre-owned car which I believed was priced very well on the internet. I called and talked to them about it, was told that it had been a rental, was in great condition, that Sansone had been the only owner and used it to rent it out to customers when their cars were in for service. I spoke to them several times. Told them that I was coming to see it on Saturday, called to confirm it was still there, asked them to get it out for me so that I wouldnt have to wait. I was going to test drive and buy that day. I drove over an hour to get there. The car didn’t exist!!! I waited 3o mins for them to bring the car around. They then said that the car had been taken to auction that morning (highly unlikely since it was a Saturday), also they said I wouldnt have wanted it anyway because the leather seats were destroyed by the prior owner who had a dog. Which story was true? Its a full week later now and the car is still listed on their website. The only good think about this experience is that my teenage son got to learn an important lesson about used car salesmen and he learned the term “bait and switch.” Stay away from this dealership. I wish I had read these reviews before wasting my time talking to them for a week about a car that didnt exist.
DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE… they are a bunch of theives with ties on. do not trust their pricing and defenatly any of their promises because they talk without ever really intending on doing any of them… their whole idea is get their money and wash their hands.. Walter was an egoistic jerk who just wanted to sell any car at the highest price.. we almost walked out until we talked to the manager and he was a bit more polite and less pushy even though clearly they all are the same just trying to rip off as many people off in one day… go to other dealers and not this one because i mean there cant be much worse out there than this place.
I had an appointment for 7 pm on 3/19/12 to check out a 09 suburban, “see you @ 7? ill call you if anything changes.” I drove 55 miles from brooklyn after a long hard work day cash n papers ready to roll to find out that the car was sold @ 3pm earlier that day but “if you want we can show you around, how about this 2010 ford flex or 2011 mkx, if you take it right now ill swipe 2 grand off the listed price….” YES they have nice reps that offer you coffee n what not, anything to get you to come down n get the car ‘they’ want you to get. and NO i would NEVER recommend or wish this on my worst enemy.
They took a trade in (mini Cooper) and three months later we got a bill from Mini.We made a deal w Adam at time of purchase to take the Mini from us.Now we are getting bills for Mileage,Adam told us he would take the car and we would owe nothing.Adam is no longer with the dealership and after 3 weeks of phone calls, none of them returned, they finally said we dont have it in writing. How Slimy.I’ve bought many cars over the years and have never had a problem making a deal a handshake and out the door.Beware of this dealership.Once they have your money your history.
On Saturday Feb 25, 2012 My daughter and I look at a 2009 Nissan Rogue that she had previously talked with the salesman and test drive the vehicle before this date.
I had asked many questions about the SUV and one being is how was it my problem when the previous owners hadn’t turned in the second key and wanted the second key. The salesman said he would look into it but once the money change hands hew forgot all about it and told me to talk to the sales manager who basically said too bad.
Second, the vehicle was supposed to come with a full tank of gas. That day on our test drive the low fuel warning light was on saying the tank was near empty. We were told that the vehicle had to be off the lot that day. So my daughter when back a couple of hours later and drive off with a empty SUV. Had to put in $53 of gas on a vehicle that was supposed to be full. Another surprise was that the salesman was not aware of the extended warranty on the Rogue for the transmission. Never went over the certified used car warranty with us. The vehicle basically sold itself.
Third, dings or chips out of paint on side panels. No one there to fix that day and would have to come back.
Fourth, low tire pressure warning light intermittently coming on while on the test drive. Told the salesman and said it would be taken car of.
Fifth, could get license plate off of trade in car and didn’t have the bolts to installed the plate on the bought Nissan Rogue, come on your a Nissan dealer and don’t have the bolts???
After talking to Cheryl, the Development Manager, an appointment was set up a few days later where all the previous mentioned problems would be resolved.
My daughter arrived at the appointed 11am. She was instructed by Cheryl to ask for the Nissan Sales Manager Ray but Ray wasn’t suppose to be in till 1pm and Cheryl was off that day. Naturally no one knew what was going on and they took her car to the service dept.
One thing is on that day she got the second key but that was about all. They said they only put $20 worth of gas in the car which they say is their policy, I guess they never read their own website that says the car leaves with a full tank. They couldn’t have put in $20 since the car already had over three quarters of a tank when she arrived. The guy who touches up the chipped paint wasn’t there that day and the low tire pressure light was still not functioning correctly. She was there till 1:30pm and Still hadn’t got hold of Ray who was said to be with another customer. I hope that customer had better luck than my daughter. So you can say it was a somewhat wasted trip.
I tried for three days to contact Ray with no luck. Either he wasn’t there or with a customer. Finally got hold of Cheryl again but she gave a message to Ray on that Friday with no call back.
Today, Saturday, I call the dealership again and asked to take to the person over Ray. This time I talked to Oscar Carvoza who says he the Sales Manager over the entire complex. He looked up her file and only saw that my daughter wanted a second key which I informed him that this was the only matter resolved. I stated all the other matters of concerned previous mentioned and told me he would take care of it (I’m not going to hold my breath).
I will schedule an appointment for my daughter when her vehicle registration arrives at the dealer. and we’ll go from there. You can see my frustration and hope you take heed.
NEVER TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!! THEY ARE LIARS! THEY PERFORM SERVICES TO YOUR VEHICLE WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION! From the moment my car was diagnosed with a problem I was lied to. My car needed a new evaporator and I was told it would take one day to fix, and I would be provided with a loaner. Dropped my car off at 7AM (I was the third car in line) Tuesday morning and was told I would receive a phone call that afternoon. I was not given a loaner car, but a rental at no charge (I was still responsible for the $250 hold on a major credit card and the insurance if I took that option). At 5:15 pm I called Doug because I had not received a phone call and needed to pick up my car, it was then that Doug told me my car would take another day to complete. As you can imagine, that was not acceptable to me. After 10 minutes of arguing and speaking with his manager (who told me “the only way you are leaving with your car is if you get a flatbed and tow it out” ) I was left with no choice but to stay with a rental and be inconvenienced for another 2 days because I was not available on Wed. I was told by Doug that my car would be ready by noon on Wed and he would call me as soon as it was done. Wed I received a call from Doug at 1:06PM that my car was done and he had it detailed. I did not ask for a detailing, nor did I authorize it! When i finally picked up my car on Thurs, it was covered with watermarks, the interior cloth seats and floor mats were wet (I brought the driver’s side floor mat back so they could either finish washing it (you could see the cleaner/soap/solvent)or dry it), the windows weren’t cleaned, but it did look like cleaner was sprayed on the interior driver’s side windshield and left there, the steering wheel felt greasy and the entire car smelled of citrus (enough to make your nostrils burn). This is not the first time I have had a problem with the service at this dealership. The ONLY reason my car was brought there was because driving to another dealership had the potential to cause me bodily harm from the nauseating effects of a broken evaporator.
Rip off place con artist would never do business with them. Took my family to test drive a car, made us wait so long. The salesperson didn’t know that we already knew the online price, so we asked how much for the car. saleperson made us wait so long & comes back with a price of $5000.00 more then the online price in his website. This is crazy. Then he sends another con artist salesperson to talk to us who was worst than he was..How do you price a car online at one price and then go way up from there. Horrible experience. Do not do business with this dealer. They treated our family very bad.I really wanted to do business with them, but after how dishonest the were to us we just couldn’t trust them. We would have both two cars from them if they didn’t try to rip us off. Very bad business. Stay away from Sansone Auto Mall.
They did the same theng to me. Car was $2000 more then Internet price after I told them I had a $2000 coupon. Internet was $18991 less $2000 = $21000 in Samsone math. I offered $14000 and was told no way and walked out
I would never buy a vehichle from this dealership. I was lied to in writing by email before i even stepped into the dealership- an appoint was set up with the manager Jose – when I got there he wanted to know what car i was interested in – this after reciving an email of the window sticker for the car that they didn’t have when i got there??? Additional items added to your bottom line could not be taken off and their finance numbers didn’t add up they padded the payments – very very very dissapointed
Me and my wife were going to buy 2 new cars from them until i read these reviews. I will shop somewhere else! Thanks for the heads up!
My boyfriend and I have been searching for a certified preowned vehicle for a while now and we kept hearing radio ads for Sansones auto mall, so we decided to check out their inventory online. We found a toyota corolla that seemed too good to be true with the price and miles and all the specs sounded great. We called the dealership and they said they would be happy to have us come down to test drive the car. This was on a tuesday morning. We decided we would go test drive it the next day, only to receive a morning phone call saying that the car was “at the body shop-getting a paint touch up on the bumper” first of all, you can touch up a bumper in 5 seconds at a dealership…no body shop is necessary. So we were promised a phone call back when the car was done (should have been the next day) So thursday comes along, still no phone call or anything, we call the dealership and of course, still no word from the car being back. the people had trouble even understanding what car we were even talking about even though we have been very persistent just to COME IN AND LOOK AT THE CAR.. WHICH WAS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE AT THIS POINT… So FINALLY….. saturday afternoon, we receive a phone call from Sansones, with all hopes up expecting to go in, test drive the car, most likely put a large down payment on it and all.. AND THE GUY CALLS US TO TELL US THAT THEY HAVE SOLD THE CAR!!!!!!!!! IT WAS RIDICULOUS. for all we know, the car EXISTED IN THE FIRST PLACE! They post “”too good to be true”” cars and prices online, to lure you into the dealership..then f**k with your head and dont call you back… THEN SELL THE CAR YOU COULD NOT EVEN GET TO LOOK AT…??!!!?? It was preposterous, a nightmare. We will definitly not be doing business with sansone after the BU**SH*T they put us through!!!!!
Purchase at SANSONE at your own peril! You have been warned.
Horrible, called for a 7am appointment for service and was told that a rental from the enterprise on site would be paid for if it was warranty work. got there at 7am was told that enterprise is not paid for and they have no loaners, argued with the rude service manager and told him this was the second time I was here for the same problem. Did not care, so I got my car back and left. will not be going back.
I wish I never purchased a car from this dealer. Now they are holding my registration hostage, because I only gave them $300 up front for it and $40 more is owed on it. I have been driving my car illegally in Maryland for more than 3 weeks. Do you think they could have called me to say the registration was at their office. No, I had to call them on a daily basis to see when they would receive it. I have never received such TERRIBLE service. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.
I cannot believe how low these people can be over a few bucks. I found a car that they had on the internet – a Hyundai Azera 09 at a great price. Called ahead (4 hours) to see if it was there – told it was right in front for me to see. Came at 8:15 pm – had to wait 20 min before someone would show it to me. The car’s battery was dead – when jumped – had no gas in it. I should have known then. But the price was too good to ignore. They offered me a reasonable amount for my trade in – we made the “agreement” on the deal after I checked it out. After the test drive – found out there was no owners manual or second key. After some discussion – the salesman wrote down on the sheet he had that he would get me a second key and a owners manual as part of the deal. He even gave me a keyfob he had in his drawer to illustrate the point. I took the car home on Wednesday night – 2 days later – stopped by to get keyfob programmed and find out the status of the key and owners manual. Peter then told me the “manual” would cost $25 – the key “$165” ( because you have to by a “set” have it “cut and programmed” thats what he said it would be) – rather then getting mad – I looked him in the eye and said “I feel sorry for you – that for so little money – a person would stain his name and that of the dealership” (He knew I was right – he promises this to me without extra charge and now was trying to get out of it.) He seemed taken aback how I responded – after fumbling a bit – offered to ” split the cost” with me.. Just telling me for sure it was no ” misunderstanding”. I had him put in writing – which he hated to do. I left. Yesterday I went to Freehold Hyundai – a key with programing was “$40” and an owners manual $13 ……….. I will never again set foot in that place. Pathetic – at least the car seems fine….. ( I hope)
I would never go to Sansone ever again it has been the worse experience ever and its still an on going problem. I recently purchased a new Jeep from Sansone on 2/21/11, I also ended my lease early with Nissan and Sansone said they would pay the last two payments. I went home that night I had the new Jeep and signed my loan documents. I had to return on 3/11/11 because they did not give me an owners manuel or the second set of keys. When I returned I find out that US Bank did not want to give me the loan even though I was approved and that they did not pay off my car. No one called me to tell me this info and I had the car already for about two weeks. They tell me not to worry and that I will get the loan. I come to find out they never paid of my Nissan because I didn’t get a loan yet on the Jeep which no one told me that would happen. Here I am a month later and still no finance on the Jeep. They said I should be received paperwork today 3/23/11 to sign for the car. They let a month go by and I was driving around a pretty much for free. I think the salesmans did something with the deal and than left after he got the commission and left them scrabbling to close the deal. Because my salesman did leave. But the they handle the situation was horrible. No one called me to tell me what was going on and when I did call no one would return my phonecalls. I’ve brought two cars from them before and I will never do business with them again
I am an older lady and have been to few dealerships before I came to Sansone Nissan.
When I walked in I was imedietly greated by Daniel. He took his time to put me in the right car and explained everything I needed to know about the vehicle. He also worked with me on the price and understood well what my budget was. I would never hesitate to recommend Daniel to anyone who is looking for an honest car salesman. He followed up with me early the next day to make sure everything was fine with the vehicle and if i had any questions. He truly made me feel like I mattered to him and not just a sale. When my lease is up or when my husband will be getting a new vehicle, Daniel is the only salesman I will ever deal with. I wish everyone had as good of a car buying experience as i did. I recommend Daniel to everyone who is thinking of a car purchase or lease. He made my day and showed me that car salesman can be very honest people as long as you have someone like him helping you.
PURCHASED NEW VEHICLE. FOUND SMALL CRACK IN WINDSHIELD. SAFELIGHT TECH STATED IT WAS DEFECTIVE WINDSHIELD TO RETURN TO DEALER. NOT ONLY DID THEY NOT FIX IT THEY WANTED TWICE AS MUCH AS SAFELIGHT FROM ME FOR REPAIR. FURTHERMORE TOOK SERVIC MANAGER MR ZOFREA 8 DAYS TO RETURN MY CALL AFTER SEVERAL UNANSWERED CALLS TO HIM VERY UNHAPPY AND AM CONSIDERING RETURNING VEHICLE
This review is 10 months overdue, so I cannot remember the salesperson’s or sales manager’s names. The salesman was pleasant, but seemed new to the business. He barely showed me the features of the car, needed help closing the deal and deferred a lot of questions to his sales manager. I did purchase a car that evening and the deal seemed fair, though I’m sure with a bit more shopping around the price would’ve been even better. My major complaint is the phony ‘WOW’ package offered. It includes a coupon book which is worthless to me because most every service in there was included with the Toyota pre-paid maintenance package. It also included a ‘free’ vacation offered by Voyager Vacation/Dreamaker Vacation Rentals, Inc. I don’t believe in too many ‘free’ offers, so I checked it out. First off, you have to pay inflated prices on hotel rooms/vacation condos & the travel agent is supposed to provide 2 free roundtrip airline tickets. The customer service number is a cell phone & you can only leave a voice mail. I did find a warning on www.complaintsboard.com about deceptive practices. Surprisingly, I couldn’t find anything on the BBB website. Just a heads up…if Sansone is looking to give you a free vacation for buying a car, just say no & have them take another $1000 off the price.
Sansone Auto Mall is nothing but a warehouse that stores the lowest forms of life, and I am not speaking about their vehicles.
One of their finance managers, Darryl Laxson III, is a dishonest individual that will do anything to maximize profit to skim off of. When signing the retail contract for my vehicle, he slid a Hyundai Protection Plan (optional $1495.00 extended warranty) paper in front of me and asked me to sign it for warranty purposes. He obviously thought that he was slick by not mentioning to me that it was optional, but little did he know that I am literate and can read the fine print. Another discrepancy on the retail contract was the $695.00 for optional GAP insurance. I did agree to take the GAP insurance, but at $545.00 as mentioned on the deal sheet. He said that he had to structure the paperwork like this for me to get the loan. What am I an idiot? Either way, I did not care because I could go back to the dealership within a certain time frame to return both optional service plans. I signed for the car. The following day, I returned to the dealership to inquire about returning the optional service plans. Darryl stated “You are going to jam it in my ass like that?” I then stated that both were optional and that I had the right to return them within a certain time frame after purchase of the vehicle. I also asked if he was mad because this would minimize his profit. Darryl then stated that if I returned the service plans, he would tack more money onto the purchase price of the vehicle or completely revoke the whole transaction. Darryl may be good with numbers and manipulation, but he should be ashamed himself for thinking he could threaten a customer. Also, I am still waiting on the remote start that is due me as per the delivery receipt. Funny how after I purchase the vehicle, the dealership states that they cannot provide me with/install the remote start because it will void my warranty. Why was it sold to me in the first place then? I have not been compensated for this as of yet. I am still waiting to hear from Darryl.
Let me flash back to the application for credit. Due to certain circumstances, I was temporarily unable to qualify for a loan individually. They asked me if I had someone that would be willing to cosign the loan with me. I stated that my brother would, but that he is out of the country and my grandfather is his power of attorney (military). The managers were happy with the good news and asked me to have my grandfather come down to the dealership with the documents stating that he is my brother’s power of attorney (military). My grandfather comes down, fills out the appropriate paperwork, and leaves copies of my brother’s military power of attorney, passport, social security card, a blank check, license, and most current pay stub. The dealership proceeds to process an inquiry to the credit bureaus to determine if my brother is credit worthy. HERE IS WHERE IT GETS GOOD!!! A few days later, the dealership states that my brother is credit worthy, but they are uncomfortable making this transaction due to the fact that my brother was not present. SHOULDN’T THEY HAVE STATED THAT THEY WERE UNCOMFORTABLE WITH THE IDEA OF A MILITARY POWER OF ATTORNEY BEFORE THEY LOOKED THROUGH ALL OF MY BROTHER’S PERSONAL DOCUMENTS AND INQUIRED ABOUT HIS CREDIT????? If the military power of attorney documents were in question, then why did they accept them initially? Even the general manager, Paul Baron, admitted that they should not have done such a thing. The dealership did not sell me the vehicle with my brother as a cosigner, but they did accept someone else as my cosigner.
Let’s not forget salesperson. Dennis Rodriguez. A very nice gentleman who responded to my text messages every single time until the transaction of the car was finalized, but ignored my text messages afterward. He did say to contact him if I needed anything, but he must have been lying.
Last but not least, the payoff of my trade-in vehicle. The dealer was to pay off my other loan at 16,268.00, as stated in the contract. I purchased my car on November 4. It is November 19 and the bank has still not received a check. I believe on November 12, finance manager Terry said the payoff would be made within 48 hours. This is still unacceptable. I contacted the dealer and spoke with a woman who stated that the payoff sent to the bank was around $16,092.00. Supposedly, this payment was sent through overnight mail. The payoff was lower because I had to make a car payment. Sansone takes their sweet time paying off vehicles and I did not want to wait for them and be hit with a derogatory mark on my credit report. Also, I had to pay all that interest on my other loan all these days waiting for the payoff from Sansone. I would like to know where the difference in that money is. I hope to receive a check, but who knows?
I purchased a vehicle two months ago, and as of today I do not have the plates or registration for this car. I cannot get the plates etc. because they did not have a clear title when they sold me the car. I put down $4,400 plus have the car on my insurance and have made a payment on the car. Every time I call they ignore me, I have gone to the dealership and explained my problem and the managers have left me standing in the middle of the sales floor to joke with each and not solve my issue. I had one manager put my expire temp tag back in my vehicle and tell me he will not give me another one. I had to drive two days with an expired tag before I got them to give me another temp tag. I am now on my third temp tag and still no plates. They blame the issues on the MVC, I have called them and discovery the title is still in Chrysler name as the lien holder and not my lien holder’s name. Their customer service is horrible and they don’t care at all to help you. They don’t want to hear about your issues after they get your money, and you sign paperwork and get you off their lot with the car. They should not be allowed to practice or sell cars to the public, they need to be fined or closed down permanently. One of the times I was in the dealership waiting for an answer I could hear the Sales Manager Angelo telling one of the salemen do not give that customer anything until you get his money. He kept repeating get the money first from him, get his money.
DO NOT BUY anything from this place especially from this sales rep, JASON VALDEZ and his manager, ALBERT VALDEZ!
We bought a Prius III recently and they tricked us into thinking that we were paying 23k for the price of the vehicle. After we completed the deal and paperwork, we realized that we are paying almost 30k for the car. When we asked Jason to explain, Jason turned around and said the 23k is the total amount financed including our $6500 down payment. This brings the total price of the car to $29500! This is more than the MSRP of the car! It makes no sense at all and he insisted that we were negotiating on the total FINANCE price including the down payment. We didn’t EVEN tell him how much we were putting down until after the negotiation! Who in their right mind would negotiate with the total FINANCE price! They are a bunch of liars including the manager, Albert Valdez!
In the end, nothing was resolved. We walked out of there feeling scammed!
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS DEALER!
The ratings score should be 0 !
first and foremost i would like to compliment mr vargo for his professionality and courtesy. my compliments to sansone automall stop at that. why is it that mazda has a payment calculator on line, but he dealer calculated payment is no where near that price? i have to believe that being an educated consumer carries no weight when dealing with a salesman or manager. after being told that the kelly blue book is not used, i question the validity of sansone. should the consumer accept a trade in of 9200 ( upgraded to 10200) when the blue book is 12675? are car sales rocketing thus putting the consumer at your mercy? i wasted my time at sansone after being advised by several car buyers not to do so….there was no play in the sticker price…my calculation approximates 200/mth on a 24000. crossover with a trade in you valued at 10200.? your calculation was approx 270/mth? did u forget to also mention that the sales tax should have been on the difference between the new car price and my trade in that was paid in full….i tend to believe that there is a dealership school called ” consumer confusion” ! how do educated professional people walk away now illiterate? its called car shopping and is totally unfair to the buyer….i will continue to search for a reputable dealership in order to purchase the crossover of my choice and although have financed and currently do with sansone auto for a previously purchased car, have had enough . in closing, it was televised this am that auto purchases are significantly down with the exception of chrysler….just a thought for future customer negotiations….donna guarda nardone
The salesman and finance department were a delight to work with.
No pressure, very smooth nice easy transaction.
Now the problems, didn’t receive plates for 3 weeks had to call
several times and also needed an extension on my temp plate.
Never recieved a sticker for car and to date still have not received.
The HUGE problem was they never paid off my trade in!!!!!!
Account went over 30 days past due and is now appearing on my
credit report as a late pay. Still trying to resolve this problem.
Make sure you follow up on a trade in to make sure the payoff was
made, this can have a negative impact on your credit
When I thought I was purchasing my car on a Saturday, I was informed that the banks were closed so I wouldn’t get financed that day. They let me take the car home and let me drive it for a week before calling me and lying to me about coming in to sign my loan papers. When I get there to sign my papers I’m informed that they found a bank to approve me but the bank wanted double the money that I had put down (for a 4 year old car with high mileage). After deciding that I no longer wanted to deal with these crooks I told them that I woud return the car when they return my deposit. There must only be one person in the whole company that can do a check request cause my request wasn’t put through til the Friday before I returned the car…..DON’T TRUST THESE CROOKS THEY ARE NOTHING BUT SCAM ARTIST. Wish I would have seenthese reviews before I bothered with company
Horrible Company and HELL NO I would never recommend this company
We took our daughter 2 weeks before her 21st Birthday .
After assuring us a car, they proceeded to tell us finance was closed.
No Problem said the sales manager ! ……..Take the car home tonight !
Come back tomorrow ! ……..Sight the papers ! The car is yours !!
Well the next day they told us it would be another day !
That led to another day and another day !!! …..After 14 days of not calling us back , finally we get the long awaited call ( On My Daughters Birthday )
Sorry we have to take the car back ! ……….Are you kidding we asked ?
My Daughter registered for school ( she need a car to commute ) what should we do ? ………Well we could get it for her if we double the quoted payments ! What we said in disbelief ?…….Yep that’s all we could do !
I called Paul Sansone himself ! ……..Spoke with his gatekeeper who said SORRY ! ………I asked if we could try another option ? …..We were told NO ! Terrible ! Horrible ! Disgraceful way of treating a family !
DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE !!!!
I thought this was going to be scary process. I was surprised how prepared Kevin was in answering my questions. He took the time to listen. When I came into the showroom the car I spoke to Kevin was waiting. I did not buy that day. I visited other dealers but came back to Sansone. In the end I liked the straight forward approach and not the usually pressure I received from the other dealers. Thank you and I will recomend you to friends.
Sent email to Sansone Toyota asking for a specific model in a specific color. Received call from Adam, who assured me over the phone that they in fact do have the model I requested in the color I want. I asked if the car has Navigation (one of the prerequisites I need). Adam assured me that they do. Made an appointment the same day to go and see the car.
After driving for 1 hour, I got to the dealership. The dealership did NOT have the car Adam promised me. Adam himself would not come out and greet me. I had to deal with someone else. Someone else showed me the model I was interested in but had different package and WITHOUT the Navigation that Adam promised me.
The MSRP sticker price was much much higher than the MSRP you get when you go to www.Toyota .com and build your own car with the same add-ons.
This was a total waste of time. They lied just to get me in and the price was ridiculous even for MSRP! Went to other Toyota dealerships and was treated much better: they presented no lies and decent pricing.
My experience with SANSONE was calm, the sales person was very helpfull with my questions and his answers. His approach was not overwellming and pushy. He walked me throu the buying process and pretty much let me be in charge. I was able to take my time to be confortable with the purchase process.
He has been in contact with me after the purchase to see about
my car, and how everything is going. I didn’t expect that ! That made me feel very good, not left out.
Thank You
BRIAN:)
In over 30 years of purchasing all types of cars from different dealership, this by far was the worst experience I have ever had. Spoke to 6 different salespeople over 4 weeks. 3 of them left the comnpany. No one answers calls or returns calls.
