The ONLY reason why we bought from them is because they had the exact car we wanted and no other dealership in the state did. We did a lot of shopping around and no other Chevy dealer treated us badly except this one.
The sales team was definitely below average, what really capsized the boat though was their finance guy. He tried to sell us things we wouldn’t need like Gap insurance even though we put down a big enough down payment and had a short enough loan that we’d never even be close to being upside down. They told me I needed additional warranties as Chevy would do everything they could to deny a warranty claim. I let them know if that’s really an issue I’d drive right on up the hill and buy a Ford as I know from past experiance Ford stands behind their warranties. The finance guy actually told me I was stupid for not buying a extremely overpriced roadservice waranty because I was putting my wife’s safety in jeopardy (because the car was for her) even though the car comes standard with a 5yr/100k roadside assistance plan from Chevy.
The last straw was when they told me about the survey Chevy would send us about our experiance with Reliable. They told me that if I brought in the survey and showed it to them with all extremely happy responses filled in they would give me a free tank of gas. That’s just blatant bribery and unethical.
I do have to admit I got a good deal on the car, but that’s more because I’m an above average negotiator (it’s part of my line of work). The average person would most likely not get a good deal and would actually be scared into buying their junk warranties.

My Reliable Chevrolet Nissan reviewMy wife and I visited reliable Chevrolet for a test-drive. A sales clerk, Adriana, asked for our phone number and I told her I did not want to give it to them, as I did not want to receive sales calls. She then said her manager told her that she could not take us on a test drive without the number as they needed them for “safety”. I said I would give it only if they guaranteed I would receive no sales calls, which she guaranteed. I then gave her both my cell number and my wife’s. The next day we received a call from their sales department and we asked them not to call us again. Over the next week we received over 6 calls. On one occasion we spoke with Adriana again and reminded her what she promised us and asked her not to call. On each occasion we actually spoke with someone, they assured us they would not call back. However they keep calling. Therefore I went back in and spoke directly with Scott Lewis, the New Car Director, and told him not to call us again. He assured me they would not. Since that time nearly 2 weeks ago they have called and left messages three times. Earlier today I received another call from a sales associate, told him not to call again and told them I would report it to the Better Business Bureau. I feel that Reliable Chevrolet acquired my phone number fraudulently by blatantly lying to me and is now, by continuing to call over and over again, harassing my wife and I. We have received over 10 calls on our two phone numbers. This is unacceptable and I have reported this to the Better Business Bureau.
