After talking to a Internet manager he assured me they could make me the deal I needed and to come in, after driving 1.5 hrs to get there I stayed over 4 hours, long story short and 3 managers later with one of them being exceptionally RUDE, they could not give me the deal I needed and totally wasted my time and theirs..I would hope no one has to go through the pressure and degrading feeling I received there, the owner needs to clean house and start fresh. Customer service is terrible and they have no problem lying to you.
I was contacted by the dealship in humble telling me they received the vehicle I was looking for. I asked if they would lower the internet price. She said yes and they will work with me. Long story short, the salemanager said he wouldn’t negotiate the price at all would only give me a 1,000 for my trade in which was worth more. They were busy and they did not care about wanting to do business. The salesmanager sat behind a window and they didnt care if I walked out. I went to Texas Dodge across the way and was given a whole different treatment. The saleman did what he could to get me in a vehicle, the manager came and introduced himself, shook my hand and said they would get me in a vehicle of my choice. Totally different business and I am so upset that my business didn’t matter to the salemanager and I made the trip to humble and was made to feel that the price of the vehicle was negotiable!
Same response I received on the I-45 Location My Business meant nothing to them and they could care less about making a deal, felt like cattle in line for the slaughter house to put it mildly…The new Car sales Managers we all horrible and Rude to say the least.
After working all night, told the salemans, what we could do. Everything was way beyond” more money”. Got home going somewhere else to buy a vehicle, planet ford started calling trying to make the deal over the phone. Still, way above what we were willing to do. Didn’t give the salemens name, no card. But will never do business with them. This place was so unprofessional. But I guess if owners get there money, they don’t care.
Very True!!
Same experience here, Customer service and just Blantent Lying is 2nd Nature to this Dealership.
Bought 2003 Minivan w. a trade-in for $500. Drove 59 miles and engine light came on. Went back to see what the light was for and was told it would be $80 to hook up meter to find code. Took the car to o’reilly auto parts and was looking at 2 codes for previous EXTENSIVE repair work done on the car. It would seem that when Planet Lincoln told me that the car had been “gone over extensively to assure the car was in fine working order”, was anything but the truth. Wish I had done more research before I bought from this dealership as it would seem their reputation preceedes them. Yes I agree, employees write reviews to hide the truth. Don’t go here folks.
BAD, VERY BAD. NEVER GOING BACK. READ MY ENTIRE REVIEW..Most every positive review on every website concerning Randall Reed car dealerships are written by his employees. It does not matter which Randall Reed dealership you go to, they are all run under the same rules…..to lie, cheat and trick you to extract the most money they can. The dealer now writes a reply to my review like they are really concerned that I was not satisfied with the bad treatment I got at their business…….LOL what a joke. If they were so worried about my bad experience, why didn’t they get rid of their bad, lying salesmen, and change their methods….they have not and are doing the same lying, cheating and tricking in July 2012. My neighbor told me that the SAME salesman that tricked me, did that same thing to him in early 2010. This is the way they have been functioning for YEARS and my neighbors all sit around and tell the same sad stories every time Planet Ford in Humble is brought up.. They just don’t get it…….they think trying to trick customers into spending money for things that are nothing but pure profit for them is the way it should be and they were TRAINED to do their business this way. The Randall Reed $10000 Guarantee is just a lie. Several of my neighbors have taken in competitor’s ads and they will not match them….nor do they get the so called $10000 money. I doubt that they have ever even considered keeping their word and honoring that guarantee. They just keep adding on charges and wasting time until the customer finally gives up. TRUST ME DO NOT SHOP THERE…….. Why are there so many one line good reviews? Is it possible that the employees are writing the positive reviews? I believe the employees have been told to bury the real bad reviews by writing lots of fake good reviews. All other review websites have poor ratings for Planet Ford. The Better Business Bureau is loaded with their problems. They are playing games and tricking customers. My experience was horrible. They tried to add on things to my contract without my knowledge. They tried to add on a thing call the “Customer Benefits Package”. This was nothing more than another way for them to extract money from me. You get NOTHING but a $6 oil change for the price of the Customer Benefits Package, which in my case was $475!! Trust me, you are gonna take a beating at this place. Just when you think you have a deal when talking to their salesman, then the real money losing starts with the finance manager. I walked. BEWARE, it’s gonna cost you a lot more in price and financing………..save time and money…….look elsewhere……I would NEVER GO BACK THERE for fear of getting cheated, you cannot trust these people….

Shame on Randall Reed Ford in Humble Texas. This is their work culture of trying to slip in hidden charges and cheat customers. I sent email to the Manager (Kramer), and then talked to the Sales Manager, Anson Jones the next day and he agreed they have problems. They cannot meet their sales quotas because their customers that are paying attention are wise to their inflating the drive out final cost and walk away. Their “Customer Benefits Package” is ALWAYS added to the bottom line without the customers knowledge or consent. Apparently, this “Customer Fleecing Package” is an invention of Randall Reed Ford in Humble, Texas. The internet salesmen are especially unethical and the three below have no business working at any place that values their reputation. They write in all sorts of imaginary charges on the Retail Purchase Agreement and will not explain why they are there. They agree to a sales price and then add charges to the bottom line and try to force the customer to sign.
Since Randall Reed Ford in Humble Texas has such horrible employees and managers, someone at the corporate level should make some personnel changes. Take a close look at their bottom line compared to your other dealerships and I am quite sure you will see their low performance.
Open letter to the manager:
Mr. Kramer (MANAGER), 11-29-2011
Your employees do not stick to there agreements and try to defraud customers. I drove 100 miles all the way from Katy to your Humble store only to be lied to and was being forced to paid a hidden charge of about $1200 more than agreed. Someone over there should be fired. Your staff is awful. The bad sales people are Musa Zayid, Kirk Dudley, someone named Zach (played like he was a sales manager) and one of your managers…maybe Billy Harvey(not sure) ALL these guys made me a promise to sell me : VIN # 3FAHP0HA7CR224386 for a competitive matched price of $18595 +$295 +TTL including adding backup sensors. ALL three of the bad salesmen above swore to me, on the phone, and in email before I drove 100 miles, that we had a deal and that there would be no further price discussion. Before I went to the dealership, I called the main number after Musa Zayid said it was a deal in an email, at $18890, and he agreed he would include the additional backup sensors and I asked to speak to the Sales Manager to confirm the deal. Musa Zayid put someone on the line who said he was the sales manager ( most likely Zach or Dudley) and he confirmed the deal.
When I got there and sat down with Dudley, he started with a 18755 price? and then said the TTL + documentation fee of 149 total additional would be $2651 (should have been closer to $1487), and wanted me to sign a piece of paper agreeing with a total of $21406. He got upset when I ask him how he got the additional $2651 and he said “That was the deal”. I told him to show me how he got that $2651 and he said I would see it on the papers when they were drawn up after I signed his paper. They tried to add on and hide the additional $1164 saying it was standard fees!! They knew that they were going to try to pull this trick on me before I ever left home.
I went to the Manager in the main building to talk to the manager on duty. Billy Harvey(not sure), did the same thing, He knew this was a scam and would not give me a break down of the TTL and other charges making up the $2651 add on. The other four supervisory employees sitting at the desk with Billy Harvey were smiling and grinning and chuckling. They all knew this was standard practice of cheating their customers. I wonder how they are going to feel when they get treated the same way. Shame on Randall Reed Ford in Humble Texas. Is this what you want your dealerships known for?
Here is what others are saying:

Never going back! I bought a truck here for my husband. My husband discussed the entire deal and since he was working the day I picked it up, I was left to sign all the papers. No problem! Ya think? NOT! I got into the documents office to sign the papers and questioned what the spongey thing was on his desk…A microphone (red flag # 1)…Why? “So when we tell people information about things in the paperwork they can’t come back and say they weren’t told”. Ok….I understand…What is that in the corner of the ceiling?….A camera (red flag # 2)…Why? “So we can identify who was informed about the paperwork”….Starting to sound like they have had a few issues? Ok…Back to the paperwork…I sign it all, not really looking because my husband has already made the deal…What are these?…(red flag # 3) …”Your coupon book for free things”… Free things? Great! 55,0000 truck and we get FREE things! …”Yes, they are coupons for oil changes, alot of different services”…Ok, I live 45 miles away, but we do come this way to visit, so maybe they are useful….I go to get the truck after paperwork and they tell me it is being “etched”…Etched?..”Yes, we etch ALL our vehicles for security measures”…Great! What a fantastic idea! Go home…Husband looks at the papers and blows a 14 carat gasket! What is the 250.00 charge?…COUPON BOOK???? I was led to believe that was free!….What is the 199.00 charge?….ETCHING???? Needless to say…They got a call from my husband who was not as nice as they would have liked…He told them to come over and get the truck…It would be parked outside…They could have it…They ended up, after 48 hours and no money forthcoming from our CU, taking the extra costs off…Oh, by the way, when I left there with the truck I asked if they were going to fill it up and they said that they don’t do that….Ok…Now, today is 12-13-2011…My paper plates expired on 11-1-2013…STILL NO TAGS…Yes, they were supposed to be there already and they came in….No, we don’t know where they are…Yes, call us back in a week if you haven’t seen them…A week later…no tags…Yes, we will have the girl go to the courthouse and get new tags, we will overnight them, you should have them in 2 days….No, the lady that was supposed to overnight your tags has been out sick, you WILL have them by tomorrow afternoon….Ok….Round # 10?….Ding Ding!!! Won’t blame Charlene or Ashley…Great girls…WAY TOO EFFICIENT to be tied up with this bunch!….Rating star # 2 is for their efforts alone!…Will NEVER do business with these people again…Would rather ride a Schwinn!
by Warning you01/07/2011
Don’t waste your time with Randall Reed Dealerships. I was warned by many but didn’t pay attention but everything I was told was RIGHT. I went there to compare deals between three other dealerships I was working with–Gullo Ford, Russell and Smith Ford and Mac Haik. All had the same F250 I wanted to trade my existing F250 for. I informed the salesperson of this and still was presented with an enbarrassing low-ball offer. After spending three hours at the dealership, they still wasn’t at what the other dealers were willing to offer. Why? Well Randall Reed dealerships are notorious for adding crap you don’t need to new vehicles, forcing you to buy it. The truck I looked at had nitrogen filled tires, some kind of treatment on the glass, and some other things I don’t need totally $2000. In the end, that very $2000 was the deal breaker because that’s how much they were off coparing to other dealers. I told them, but they didn’t care. Don’t believe the hipe that “nobody beats a Randall Reed deal” BECAUSE THEY DO. Next day I took delivery of my new truck from Mac Haik. A follow up call was made the following day from Randall Reed trying to lure me in once again. When I told the man who called what happened, he still tried to convince me that I needed the crap they added. Needless to say I dropped the “I already bought somewhere else” and then I wasn’t important. I purchased new vehicles in the area from Weisner, Russell and Smith and now Mac Haik and all three are reputable where you can get good deals. Randall Reed Ford is a joke!!! Worst dealership I have ever been too or dealt with and I buy every two years so I’ve done this a lot. Just don’t waste your time. They are more interested in selling you the crap they add to their new vehicles rather than the product itself. STAY AWAY FROM RANDALL REED DEALERSHIPS UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE A SUCKER!!!
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED …. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH RANDALL REED CAR DEALERSHIPS!! YOU WILL BE CHEATED!!

Very pleasant experience, everyone was friendly and courteous.

YOU WILL BE CHEATED IF YOU GO TO PLANET FORD IN HUMBLE TEXAS
Within 5 minutes started asking me when I would buy. Told them just started looking yet salesman kept asking evey 10 minutes when I would buy as he was showing me around. Ended up buying from different dealer that did not use these tactics. Look elsewhere.
This process was very satisfying, no one got upset.

Very happy, im very impatient but it wasn’t bad! Service went pretty fast
One line good reviews were all written by their employees. They are gonna cheat you. Do you really think if someone is going to take the time to write a positive review, that they will only write ONE line……..not likely….this was written by one of their employees!!!
Go buy a new ford at planet ford while they are in a selling mood.
LOL, what a joke. Kramer and Dudley are gonna cost you a lot of money…….forget Randall Reed and his dealerships…..go somewhere else
I saw a vehicle online and called to check if they still got it and they confirm it was still available. After driving 100 miles to their office the sales personnel by Name JASON at I-45 office was a pissed so we couldn’t make any purchase as a result of JASON’s attitude. We went again the following day after they called us to come but the car is not on the lot. We got a call from their office at 59 Humble TX, asking us to come and pay for the car. Getting there the car was not on the lot but just a marketing gimmicks to piss customers off. i WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY FOR ANYBODY. They do not have a good customer service, they are expert at pissing customers off.
Was satisfied with the service.
Really? A one line review? Not real
Excellent customer service!!
what a lie!!……see

Your staff here in Spring is not only nice but they are friendly and genuinely concerned about me and my needs as a ford owner.
Excellent!!! Plan on buying another Ford!!!
great deals and very easy to work with.
Great deals and very easy to work with.
excellent customer service
Check with planet ford before you buy
Easy friendly service Francise Ramos was helpful and friendly as anyone could ask for. We asked for her specifically due to the friendly manner in which she help us with our last purchase.
Craig Jones was professional, caring, and honest. He was able to make my purchasing experience a pleasant and easy one.
Dante was awesome!!! Thanks so much!
Ramon Diaz was terrific! They were very helpful with setting me up with first car and helping explain the car’s features.
Excellent dealership from all facets of the car purchase experience.
I would personally never ever buy a Ford from Planet Ford ever, they riped me off by overcharging me on a ford fusion. The experience was horrible!!
I DO NOT ADVISE ANYONE TO BUY A FORD FUSION MY 2006 CAUGHT FIRE 6/8/2011 AT 4:30AM. THEY RULED IT AN ELECTRICAL!!
I researched new Ford 4X4 Pickups at numerous Ford Dealerships in the Greater Houston area. Planet Ford (in Spring) took care of all of my questions, gave the best price, made the best deal, and with absolutely no problems.
Then, their management followed up with phone calls to see that I was satisfied.
I picked out the truck I wanted over the internet, made my deal, then went over and completed the deal. The only hint of pressure was to finance through Ford (whom I have financed with before), and when they provided the same interest rate as I had from my other source, I saw no reason not to use Ford Credit.
Maurice Pinkney followed up with me after the sale, as well as (2) of Planet Ford’s Managers, checking to make sure that I was completely satisfied.
I can’t speak for anything else, but Maurice Pinkney did exactly what he said he would, and I would recommend anyone using Planet Ford (Spring) to contact Mr. Pinkney.:)
After purchasing my second used car I realized just how different dealerships can be. This dealership sold me a truck that was far overpriced and in fair condition. They made it look like they were my friend until I signed the paperwork. After that all bets were off! I was blatantly direspected by Joe and have had to give them truck back twice for repairs.
After going through the paperwork, they changed the sale price to around $600 more then the original deal without informing me. They offered me below trade in value on my car and made it seem like they were doing me a favor by allowing me to trade it in! This it total BS!
Supposedly used vehicles go through a rigourous inspection yet they seemed to have missed the cracking tires on mine as well as the leaky tire. All but one speaker was blown in the car and the paint has scratches galore. Now I would be okay with all of this if I was getting a killer deal but I did not. I paid close to 16000 for this truck so I should have been given a quality vehicle.
If you want a GOOD dealership- go see Craig at Demontrond in Conroe. They gave me an excellent price on my trade in, terrific purchase price of the new car and nothing needed work on it! Well it did need a new sway bar but they repaired that in one day and gave me a rental car plus reduced the price to compensate for my time. NOW THATS A GOOD DEALERSHIP!
To be fair, I am still working with Planet ford 45 to fix all their mistakes. Lets hope they fix them without hassle- which so far they have not.
😡
Deceived is how I feel after visiting this dealership. I was told we had a deal, my hand was shaken and my daughter, for whom I was buying the car was told “congratulations”. Ten minutes later, the Sales person said there had been a mistake, an $831 mistake and we did not have a deal. The Sales manager, JR, came out and admitted there had been some type of miscommunication between him and his sales person. I asked him to honor the deal his salesman said we had and he refused. I felt deceived.
I was also told Carmax would take money away from the Trade-In price they offered me. Carmax is less than 10 miles away from this dealership. Carmax does not take anything away from their appraised value. Once again, I was deceived. Planet Ford broke my daughter’s heart and rest assured I will let everyone know how I feel about this.:(
On Aug 22, 09, I bought a new Ford Focus for my wife, using cash for clunkers.
Normally I do NOT buy an extended warranty, but my wife was concerned about future repairs, and we got $4,500 clunker money, so I agreed.
I made it clear to the FINANCE guy, Timmie Dowdley, that I did NOT want GAP. He said “it was included”, making it sound like it is FREE with the service plan or something. I was very clear that I would NOT PAY for gap.
If you know anything about the Cash for Clunkers program, there is a TON of paperwork, and the deal took at least 4 hours!
By the time it came to “sign the contract” (after signing about 20 other forms) I was too tired to argue. (my mistake)
When I got home and looked at the contract, I was being charged $495 EXTRA for GAP!
The next day, I went back to Planet Ford and told Timmie I didn’t want ANY of the “extra” coverage (almost $4,000 worth). I had researched that night on the internet, and Fidelity (the extended warranty company) has TONS of complaints against them.
Timmie told me “no problem – when you get your payment book, bring it in, and we will credit the charges”.
When I got my payment information 9/15/09, I went immediately to the dealership, only to be told by Timmie that I would have to fill out a form and wait 90 days for payment. I could have done THAT on 8/23!!!
The form itself actually says 6-8 weeks, even though Timmie told me 90 days.
I filled out the form, and had to ASK for a copy, as Timmie simply put it away in his filing cabinet.
I made several subsequent visits and phone calls to try to check on the status of the money, and was always told, “wait”.
When the time had gone WELL BEYOND the “6-8 weeks”, I stopped by the Dealership on 11/19 to demand payment. Timmie tried to stall, but I told him I was not leaving until I knew something solid. About an hour later, Timmie gave me a copy of a check that Planet Ford had just issued THAT DAY (while I was waiting) to Chase Bank, and told me “this should hit your account in 2 days tops”.
Again, several phone calls – always a delay, and finally, on Dec 9, I called Timmie and told him I needed an answer THAT DAY, or I would file a complaint with the State of Texas. He didn’t call. I filed complaints the next morning.
THEN Timmie called and told me the check had been returned to Planet Ford, because it “was sent to the wrong department”, EVEN THOUGH Timmie had PREVIOUSLY told me “there’s only one address we send these checks to at Chase”.
Planet Ford owes me almost $4,000, and all I get is the run-around.
DO NOT allow them to pressure you into the “extra coverage”. You can buy this CHEAPER if you want it, and you do NOT have to go through the Dealership.
DO NOT trust Timmie Dowdley – He either is dishonest, or he does not know his job!

Financing nightmare, sales person a liar( not to mention a criminal record). Come to find by another Planet Ford employee his father also worked at Planet Ford at one time and he had an extentive criminal record. Steven Loveless also had a lovely record. I only wish that I had checked the BBB prior to this whole nightmare. I would have never purchased a brand new car from them. When my calls went unanswered. I was finally told by my salesperson that I was lucky to have gotten a new car. I would not recommend them to my worst enemy. :devil(
The treat you like they are your best friend when you are buying a car, but good luck after that.
I purchased an extended warranty from Planet Ford with my vehicle and when I went to go get service work done they said I didn’t have a warranty on the vehicle. Well, good thing I kept my copy of the contract because if I hadn’t then I would have payed $1500 for nothing.
After I confronted them with the contract they still denied the fact that I had a warranty. They FINALLY agreed that I did after a few hours of arguing (I HAD THE CONTRACT IN MY HAD WITH THEIR AND MY NAME ON IT).
The said that they had to fax a copy of the contract to Ford ESP and it would take a few weeks to go though. FIVE MONTHS LATER, after I had moved, I take my truck to a dealership where I live now to get it fixed and guess what… FORD ESP SAYS I HAVE NO WARRANTY!!
I have been playing phone tag with Planet Ford for a while now. Every day I call I get, “Well, we’ll have to pull your information and give you a call back in 20 to 30min.” Guess what happens then… I NEVER get called back!
So here I am, with no truck and a $1500 sheet of paper…
Oh, and if you don’t believe me, call their phone number and act like you are going to buy a car then call back and pretend you have a complaint. You can actually HEAR the difference. They treat you like you are crap after you have bought your car!
Well Planet Ford, I AM NOT ‘COMPLETELY SATISFIED’!!
We were looking at a 2011 GMC crew cab pickup on the pre-owned car lot. They didn’t want to negotiate on the price, and the price I gave them that I wanted to pay was laughed at. Then the salesman knocks GM and says they’ll need another loan from the government and their vehicles are not up to par. But yet he had such a high value on this GMC truck we were looking to buy!!! Then he tries to talk my husband into purchasing a Ford, not gonna happen!! I had no problem walking out. Not pleased with this experience, don’t waste your time. We went to Merceds-Benz Houston North and found a truck that was 10 times better and paid the same price!!
