Purchased a car from Steve Whittaker. I told him my monthly budget and what I needed and he found the PERFECT car! He didn’t try to make my payments higher or show me cars that weren’t what I was looking for. As a single mother, having a safe, reliable car that fits my budget is very important, and Steve was terrific helping me find that car. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND STEVE WHITTAKER! Thank you Steve!
If you want customer service then don’t buy a car from Oxmoor Toyota. They don’t know what customer service means. After trading in a car to buy a brand new Tacoma, they left us holding the bag. We had to make numerous phone calls to get our previous loan paid off before our credit was ruined. Also, the refund for the overage paid, took us 21/2 months to receive and once again it took dozens of phone calls to get someone to actually mail it out to us. I guess if we didn’t call they would have just pocketed the money. Oh well, I won’t be buying from them again. That’s a shame because I like my Toyota so much.
Who did you deal with at Oxmoor, and were you allowed an opportunity to go up the chain of command?
they sold me a car on OCT 12 2010 AND AFTER DRIVING THE 2000 TOYOTA.i had trade in and 500 dollars down. they come back to me on NOVERMEMBER 13 2010 and tell me to bring car back, they can ONLY SELL ME A 2003 TOYOTA.SO I TAKE CAR BACK AFTER A MOUNTH AND GUESS WHAT THAT CAR HAD BEEN SOLD.GEE THEY HAVE UPSET ME SO MUCH I WILL BE CALLING THE ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE.THEY HAVE REALLY MESSED UP MY life

I got a good car and a good price.
Oxmoor Toyota is now trying to act like they care. Well, Oxmoor, It’s Too Late!! Maybe if you had actually cared intially, I might not have had to take futher action: made a compliant with the B B B and the attorney general’s office.
You can try and erase my comments, but I will continue to post: the public has a right to know that some of your sales people shoulw not still be employed with your dealership. There is no reason for a customer to be yelled at when they have questions.
They are having friends and family post positive comments to offset cutomers true complaints. This is deceitful!
** Stay away from Oxmoor Toyota **
Who did you deal with, and tell us more about your experience. Were you able to go up the chain of command? Did thier customer service department contact your or acknowledge your complaints and concerns?
jaded
Do not waste your time!
They will try and haggle more than is neccessary
They have a negative rating with the Better B. B.
*62 complaints in the last 3 yrs. *
They will also get mean when you try and walk away.
Dealerships are commission based, which makes Oxmoor’s sales teams very dishonest in order to make a sale.
Save yourself a trip.
Go somewhere else!
ATTENTION: Stay away from Oxmoor Toyota!!
— Especially if you are female —-
They will lie, intimidate, and bully you so they can make a sale
Then they will make you feel as though you are the stupid one
— DO NOT BUY FROM OXMOOR TOYOTA —
1st Complaint:
The deal was unscrupulous
They were dishonest: They lied to me, they tried to intimidate me, then they bullied me to try and keep a deal closed all the way.
This deal is not legal or good: and should be deemed null and void
2nd Complaint:
It was not a fair and legal business transaction:
The bottom line is that they are selling products not disclosed
They mishandled my paperwork: financial institution not honored; they continuously changed the financial #’s (money) No warranty; yet it IS still under factory warranty…no paperwork showing certified; but the ‘assured’ me it had been
Offer: 13, 595
Bank: 14, 423.12 (final amount to be financed)
Contract: 15, 0003.12
Very deceitful: It was not a fair and legal business transaction
- They have 59 processed complaints w/the Better Business Bureau in the last 3 yrs. alone –
** My issue is not w/the car itself: it is w/the abusive and deceitful selling practices which are condoned, and encouraged, by the current General Manager: John Barrera **
TrulyAnnoyed,
You need to go back through all of your complaints and rebutt. Oxmoor Toyota is now trying to follow up on customer complaints. They are also trying to delete negative comments, as some of mine have been.
One the one hand, it’s nice to know that someone has noticed, but on the other, it appears that they are trying to make the unhappy customers seem like they are nuts.
Strangely, there have been numerous positive posts in the last week.
Maybe they have gotten wise and let certain team members go.
Best of luck in your battle!
