I took my newly purchased Audi to the official dealer; I thought a luxury car deserved luxury service, but that is NOT what I encountered. This is what I found: It took Audi 16 days to provide my car a few hours of service. I was charged DOUBLE my original quote with NO additional work being performed. My car was returned with the same problem unresolved, with the check engine light ON.
Laid back approach but eager to help. No pressure. I was buying at the end of the year and still no pressure. Treated my time with the utmost respect. Would recommend to anyone.
Chad, the service representative, was great to work with. I expressed previous bad history with Overturf and that would be an uphill effort on Overturf’s part to regain my confidence. My 2004 TDI had multiple problems that were resolved (difficult starting and top speed of 70 mph); after replacing the turbo (which I asked to have saved for my inspection and proof of failure) the engine still operated at 85% power. The tank fuel pump was found to be plugged due to sludge from bad fuel, that was replaced and the tank cleaned. The catalytic converter was found to be plugged, resulting in a new installation. The positive was that many hours of trouble-shooting was not billed and Overturf was able to provide the catalytic converter as a warantee item on a 6 year old car (this could have been an easy way for a dishonest dealer to charge me for a catalytic converter that was free to them). What this experience demonstrated to me was that Overturf has some leadership with integrity that allows (and/or expects) the Service Department to perform with integrity.
